I get a kick out of Alliance crying about how horde are the OP faction for PvP when you guys have Paladins who literally 1-button remove any effect with the best heals in the game. Paladins make alliance better in PvP all alone.

Mind posting a link supporting that Herod is 51:49 A:H? Everywhere I check says the pop is around 60:40 H:A favoring horde. From personal experience I’d say its closer to 62:38 H:A on a good day. I doubt people are just going to take the word of an un-guilded lvl 13 NE priest when it comes to server balance. It would be like taking medical advice from an anti-vax mom. Not only are you too low lvl to have an accurate understanding of the server pop balance from contested zones w/o layering, but you literally chose one of the worst race/class combos in the game. Did you really not want fear ward that badly? Either way it makes you look like you have no idea what you’re talking about. If this is perhaps your alt then why not post on your main? OP speaks the truth, i started off as a horde on stalagg and the alliance had no problem squaring up with horde in stv and whatnot before the transfers opened. All it took was a few to leave over a small disparity to create a snowball effect leading to what we have now. I actually transfered my orc hunter over to heartseeker and realised that every alliance member that left their servers came there. I knew phase 2 would be a crap fest so I took matters into my own hands and re rolled fresh on a server of my choice.
I’m currently playing alliance on a server that is estimated to be about 60-40 in horde favor, and i love it, i just had to throw away a level 60 character to get there since blizzard somehow opened the floodgates without expecting the “disadvantaged” players be more likely to leave.

Eh, idk if the data really supports this. Sites like wow-stats.info have been tracking this sort of information for years, and historical bg win rates for US regions in vanilla were around 48 : 52 H:A for WSG, 59 : 41 for Arathi Basin, and 15 : 85 for Alterac Valley. Horde has a higher win rate for Arathi, things are fairly balanced with a mild alliance edge for WSG, and a complete blowout in favor of alliance for AV (granted, AV is questionable “pvp” at best).
Regardless, the data does not support the ‘horde smoking alliance 15 years ago’ narrative.

Me too, lol, I almost ended on Faerline, but it was full at launch and they just open Incendius and well, rolled on it. Good option overall.

Even though 60/40 is 50% more Horde, I would love that kind of ratio. I don’t have the time to level another 60 though, so if I’m stuck on Stalagg I’m not going to do it again.
They did? That releases and I /unsub. I don’t play this game to PVP with people from other servers. This is classic, not retail.
Yeah i can’t blame anyone for not wanting to go through that grind all over again from scratch. Its really unfortunate and i think blizz should have taken more steps to prevent things from going in this direction much sooner.

A: Cross-realm battlegrounds were a feature of 1.12 and are important for matchmaking, so you’ll be seeing cross-realm battlegrounds in WoW Classic when Battlegrounds are introduced in Phase 3 of the content roll-out plan.
While I think ally will have lower average que times than horde, I doubt it will be by much. Also pretty unlikely ally will have insta bg ques. Blizz will probably gerrymander the battle grps to make it closer to being an even H/A split. I could be wrong, and I actually hope I am wrong- but I don’t see why they would implement cross-realm bgs if they weren’t trying to even out the bg wait times for both factions. I’m staying on Herod either way.
Blizzard should have never allowed Alliance to move off servers that already had a super low alliance population. Skeram already had a low alliance pop, then entire alliance guilds moved off while no horde left at all screwing over the people who did not transfer even more.

Because blizzard can’t get it fixed on retail… what makes you think they will get it right for classic? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see and revisit this thread in the future.
But, mark my word alliance will have shorter queues times by a hell of a lot.
