No, you’re wrong. I have had a working census addon for almost 2 months, it was updated to work manually only a couple weeks after Blizz broke the automatic version. I use it on all the servers I play on and contribute data sets almost daily as do thousands of other players.
It was quite noticeable in STV. Tempest had the arena when a small pocket of alliance I was with ( around 20 players) rode in behind a horde raid attempting to take the arena from them and we ended up wiping the horde raid and holding the arena for about 15 minutes. Then after we walked out of the arena we got pincered from both sides by at least 100 to 150+ horde. at that point there was nothing to do but rez and run off into the jungle and hearth out
im glad i rolled on incendious server when it launched at classic launch.
You shouldn’t switch. You should just sit on that server where you can’t find any alliance characters to fight.
And where is this data being collected? Because wowpop says my server, kromcrush, has 0 active alliance players. That most certainly is not accurate. The alliance are greatly outnumbered but it’s not a 100 to 0 split.
from 2 months ago. More Alliance on pve servers. More horde on pvp servers. Some servers are close to 50/50 while the biggest gap was maybe 60/40
That was before free transfers, which weren’t faction locked the first time around, and so it’s logical to assume that the skewed servers are even moreso now. Skelagg is literally unplayable at all times of day and night.
First, it’s Stalagg. Second, the transfers weren’t to fix factions, they were to allow players to go to a realm with no queues.
I’m aware, but that doesn’t change that it perpetuated the problem. They tried to backtrack it this latest time around, but it’s too late. Without faction queues, there’s no incentive for Horde to transfer, and Alliance are stuck, meaning they’re more likely to start elsewhere or quit. These will soon be little more than PvE in everything but name.
What’s your character’s name on Stalagg? I’ll escort you around, I just want to be friends. Promise.
but look at the HKs they racked up before they did!

The addon is called CensusPlusClassic and is available on curse if you want to download it and contribute. The only difference from the original census addon is that it uses a semi-automated /who query by macroing it to your mouse clicks while you play instead of doing it automatically behind the scenes.
I think the better option would be to merge servers tbh. Not allowing one faction to even access the game would be bad.
Before i picked a server i did a lot of research and the one that stuck out was herod that server was like 80% horde why on earth any ally would stay on that server blows my mind it literally was the worse balance server on any website you looked up
I would totally be for that too, if they merged high horde with high alliance servers. That seems like more work than Blizzard is willing to do though, which is next to nothing. I just mean though that locking it so that only one faction could leave won’t matter if there’s no reason to leave and every reason to stay.
In this thread people on the dominant faction blame the people in the lesser populated faction for wanting to have a fair shot at playing the game.
Heartseeker is doing just fine though we get 100s of new Horde every day. I’m tired of Horde from Herod/Skeram/Stalagg thinking they’re big brain by suggesting they merge their dying server with ours.
@OP this problem is yours
I should also add, Grob is about as 50/50 as you could get. Horde had Alliance locked down at SS still well into the night. Alliance were camping some other zones, Horde were camping others. Even on a more even server, some zones were locked down by one faction or the other. It’s the nature of the beast on a pvp server.
You are either stupid or can’t read. Herod was at best 95% Horde 5% Alliance when Classic came out. Now it’s closer to 99% Horde 1% Alliance. Yes there are example of people blowing things out of proportion but this thread is about Herod and there’s no denying that it’s stupid overpopulated by one faction.
No it wasn’t. As of 9/15 Herod was 68/32. Here’s a sad fact: Every single normal server, except 1, is Alliance dominated. When the total population is even, but more Alliance players play on a pve realm, that makes it not so great for them on pvp servers.
