Wish they would add faction queues and only allow the popular faction to transfer off. Seems logical. Yet here I am on Herod with a 65% horde population and worsening.

Here on stalagg I would bet all my money that it even worse than 60/40. No I don’t have evidence, but any ally on here can probably confirm.

As an alliance on Stalagg, it truly is lopsided. According to wowhead we are the most horde heavy NA server. It really feels like 80/20 in the leveling zones.

The faction balance on most realms was roughly 60/40 in favor of Horde, which made leveling and farming difficult for Alliance. As a result, they are the majority taking advantage of Free Transfers. Now, the target realms are bloated with Alliance and the realms they left are 80-90%+ Horde.

There are only 3 big servers the largest of them all is perfectly balanced. The 2nd largest horde favored but the best of the best alliance the 3rd is not so bad.

When you are outnumbered on a server, the only sane strategy is to switch servers. This has not been a problem for Horde because from the get go, most PVP players have gone Horde because they wanted to be in the majority faction. How many Horde players said to themselves “horde is going to be in the majority, so I think I’ll go alliance instead for the challenge”? None of you. You are crowing because you are in the majority. Congratulations, you all picked the easy faction.

I don’t think the term ganked works in that situation. As I understand it, a gank is when a much higher level kills you.

So, people that are approximately your same level as you kill you in PvP it isn’t a gank. It’s called “losing”.

I don’t get the griefer mentality at all.

This morning I ran into a lv 39 warlock in the same area killing mobs. Same level as me. I could have killed him easy when he was low killing the mobs. I came up to him and let him get full health back. He didn’t do anything so I went on my way back to killing mobs. A couple minutes later when I was really low he blindsides me with a one shot kill. He can sure be proud of himself. The fact is very few want anything close to a fair fight. It’s all this cowardly crap over and over.

The funny thing is he probably would have crushed me straight up. I’m new and learning how to play and suck at PVP.

Whitemane doesn’t feel too bad. Sometimes we give, sometimes we get. It actually feels like Alliance controlled questing areas quite often while leveling. I hope the transfers don’t skew things more than they are, but what’ll be will be I suppose.

Well, except for those of us who just don’t like playing Alliance.

My reasons for not playing Alliance races have nothing to do with server population. I don’t like the races. They are dull, imo. Horde lore is somewhat more interesting to me. that is, racial character is somewhat more interesting.

Maybe most people find playing the standard type RPG archetypes boring.
