Alliance are fleeing via Free Transfer, faction imbalance worsened

Heyo! Yeah, it is Hawk#11371. Anyone that would like to chat about Classic feel free to hmu

I think horde will always outnumber alliance on PvP because they’re always perceived to generally have better PvP racials. Alliance, if anything, are arguably better at PvE. It tilts massively for horde because It’s not just a matter of wanting to play OP races, it’s things like people that like playing rogues don’t want to go against orc racials and fear classes don’t want to go against undead. Escape artist, fear ward, and stoneskin are decent as well but they don’t really break as many matchups as the horde racials do IMO.

-As long as people see horde as the better PvP option they will almost always outnumber alliance on PvP servers. The only way to fix this would be to balance racials a bit better- which I’m sure most people would hate.

Wish Alliance were fleeing my server so I wasn’t seeing 10-1 faction imbalance.

I’ll admitt it, this was the big selling point for me rolling horde, not even for wanting the racials, i just didnt want to deal with them in pvp. 40% of horde being undead completely gimps you as an alliance warlock. The 30% stun resist will autolose you a fight as a rogue on alliance especially when pvp trinkets are available. Sure alliance get escape artist, which is actually extremely stong in pvp but guess who gets that? Gnomes… like are you kidding blizz? That’s what i always imagined being when i see myself in a fantasy world :+1:

25 percent on that stun but your point still stands

I heard everyone has a 5% base chance so it stacks with it making it even more op

Oh i didnt know that. Bur a priest can get plus 15 too btw.

Maybe after Blizzard gets the server populations more balanced, they’ll open up faction-restricted free transfers to help faction balance.

Heartseeker is now overpoplated by alliance, people from stalagg wanted to go on a server that might be more balanced and it was at first, But now heartseeker where ever i go there is about 20+ alliance for 1 horde.
is it that hard to stop a transfer from one faction… holy &*** at some point blizzard should have closed the alliance from using the xfer and only give acces to horde.

He is accurate, if I’m not mistaken, orcs have a 33% stun resist due to the racial and base SR. Warriors can spec further into SR as well, gaining an extra 15% SR and Charm Resist.

This brings an orc warrior to 48% SR and 15% Charm R. Merge that with Overpower, and you can see why it’s an Ally rogue’s nightmare.

bumping this again

Unfortunately - all the horde who just endlessly camped alliance players did nothing to help this. Ive been camped by players, who I’ve never had any interactions with, for 40+ minutes; if I didn’t have any reason to stay on the server I’d have left too

I left Stalagg because I want to wpvp. I rarely see an ally, then when i pick a fight 9 more hordies jump out and we just crush him. I felt completely safe in Hillsbrad and STV. I want to play on a pvp server, not a single faction PvE server, which is basically what Stalagg has become.

Heartseeker has been great, and we’re high pop during peak hours now.

Yeesh, didn’t take long for that to happen x.x;

Heartseeker is amazing, we just need more Horde to transfer so we can have balanced factions again. I don’t know why Horde in Skeram and Stalagg would rather stay in their Horde dominated realms over transferring to Heartseeker and making it balanced.

Part of the PvP meta is taking all the advantages you can get, whether from your trade skills, your racial talents, bizarre itemization…

Even your faction ratio. Nothing can be overlooked for the best chance of success.

Love when clueless Horde player does little research and says people are just running away. Lets stick your butt camped and overrun for weeks on end then tell me all about your grand strategy.

So many people keep saying that Horde players are rolling Horde because they know it will be the dominant faction… But really consider for a second that a lot of people are also just playing what they like.
In vanilla, the Horde has more interesting races with more interesting models in my opinion, so I went Horde. Didn’t even consider which side is more populated.

Yep. I waited to start playing and picked Grobbulus specifically for this reason (and RP-PvP servers tend to have better communities from my experiences on retail - Emerald Dream).

Just got to bleed kite them in their dead zone. Takes practice, but it is nasty when mastered.
