I think its better to keep this talent, but remake our mastery. Our mastery is one of the reasons we scale so poorly. It has to go.
WW and MW both need big attention, but it really annoys me that Blizzard are potentially going for an “ignore them until we can fix everything” approach (or maybe a just flat out ignore, if you want to be pessimistic). Sure, I’d love some new talents and better scaling, but just fixing a few bugs in the meantime would make me feel a lot more positive about the game. There is zero reason why things like the FoF combat bug couldn’t have been fixed years ago.
make WDP non essential! buff spinning crane kick (let it be good for single target too) and also make that expel harm worthwhile to use.
ohhhh we are almost at DH territory now… still not quite there yet!
they benefited from some of the original monk class fantasy so why cant we get some goodies from them?
Why does Blizzard not feel the need to even respond in anyway to us? We have tried to tell them how we feel and its as if they don’t care at all about Monks. Say something, anything to us Blizz!
Well makes sense why we don’t get any blue posts. Pretty much every other person who doesn’t play monk wants to see us fail. I guess the MoP stigma is still following us. My understanding from the general forums section.
It’s definitely you here buddy, or the other healers you’re playing with are sniping most of your healing and you’re come in a tad too late, or theres just not enough damage going out in general, especially if this is heroic, all of those factor into your HPS.
I despise upwelling and will never play it, fistweaving only, and fistweaving competes perfectly fine in BFA in terms of HPS.
The problem is monk doesn’t bring anything other than equal to or slightly behind HPS compared to other classes. No DR’s no raid utility other than raid dispel which is rarely useful.
This isn’t a crazy parse like my maut parse by any means, but still hitting 126k hps without maut’s buffs, and I wasnt running wotc for this fight. Just hots and punching

Hey BLIZZARD we better get a BLUE post this week in the MONK BETA FORUMS. We can make more threads if need be.
For any1 who missed the Sloot discussion about Monks.
2hrs 36mins.

Never give up, Never surrender!
Still hoping for the best, but not expecting much.
THIS IS NOT OKAY.

When I read the long list of bugs MW still have in beta in their feedback sticky I have to assume there just must be some overhaul coming in later so they haven’t bothered addressing any of it yet since it would be pointless to mess with the existing stuff until the changes come out. I just got into beta the other day but I don’t think I’ll bother trying anything MW related until the possible future overhaul that addresses at the very least the long list of bugs I see people keep posting in that thread.
I find it odd that they wouldn’t at least post something like “we’re aware of the issues and changes are coming in a future build” or something.
I hope your right on this. I want MW to have the ability to be that true fistweaving class I remember from WoD/5.0. We need big things to happen fast!
I also don’t want DH to be WW 2.0. No reason to have WW be pushed into the shadow of DH. 2
2hand WW as well!
SEF feels terrible, I don’t want to pop fortifying for ToK buffs.
Where are the goblin and worgen monks now that exiles reach is here?
Where is 2h ww? Or even dual wield brew?We still have completely dead talents.
Our mastery is a talent.
Serenity still feels bad to use. And the covenant for Kyrian weapons of the order fails in the same regard.
Are we going to be stacking verse for pve again with our trash scaling or are we going to be entirely leaning on a legendary to give us scaling? Find out next week.
I have to double check but it was either Touch of Death or Touch of Karma that wasn’t working with Fort Elixir but
It was really enjoyable to do these types of things back in WoD but I feel like now it’s become something else entirely.
It feels like for arenas using defensive for a bit more edge on your burst is a cool trade off. For pve content it feels outright bad that it’s included as part of a Cooldown rotation.
It will be taking the place of the Touch of Death GCD, where we would normally pop it with SEF to get as much damage into it as possible in the opener. Sure Xuen itself could do better damage, but at the start of the fight it’ll more or less be the same gcd wise methinks.
On a side note how do feel about ToD returning to its original design? It might be more powerful than other class executes, but I’m not so sure about that considering the execute window. It feels too small for anything, as it would only be usable against bosses for the damage function. Is it supposed to just be a flavor spell now? Checked gamepedia and it says the last version of it before it changed to what we have in BFA was 10% for hard enemies
haha it’s like a bad TV show season ending … “Stay tuned!” - only to find out that the next 100 episodes will be filler.
At least when TV shows don’t get enough viewers, they get cancelled or get a revamp years later.
We are at the waiting for revamp stage… ooooooor hmmm are monks already “cancelled”?
Have we at least figured out what in the 8 flaming and 1 Frozen hell they are tuning now that we are are apparently to that point for us.
Just wanted to add my voice to this thread so maybe Blizzard gives us an answer.
So much feedback as been given, many well-thought articles have been written, literally everything is on the table now. It’s up to you now Blizz.
Please communicate with the monk’s community.
Figured I might as well hit them up on Twitter as well lets attack on multiple fronts.
I agree with 1-3 being stupid. I particularly hate that when I kill something with FoF it leaves me combat bugged for 15 sec.
The meters thing sucks, but I’m hopeful it is gonna get some love in the tuning pass this time around with the removal of touch of death as a cooldown which always nerfed all our sustain numbers.
