Ahh now I get it. I came along in TBC and never really played alliance. I remember being surprised humans weren’t hunters with the Cata reveal video.
Finally someone that speaks my language
The scary part is there’s a large number of people who legitimately would believe the weird reasons blizzard gave for justification of class restrictions.
Does anyone else remember how people would vehemently advocate against gnome hunters because “tHeY aRe To sMaLl tHeiR pEtS wOulD eAt tHeM”
Yeah, I think I’d be cool with them opening it up if classes got racial skins. Moon paladins for nelves, void paladins for velves. Draenei warlocks using spirits instead of demons like the ones from WoD. Human shaman being modeled after kul Tiran tide priest
Just blanket opening them is bad to me, but using it to make races more unique while also having more options is cool.
bad idea imo. it’s boring and lazy lore to do that.
i do think classes should be expanded more over time…but we need new races ASAP
As a Feral Druid I volunteer to eat the gnomes instead.
Along the lines of some of the discussion in here regarding playing a character that bucks the trend of their race’s society, if they were to open up all classes to all races (imagine no development difficulties for Druid forms or DH model tweaks for everyone) should that be coupled with a further breaking down of the Horde/Alliance dynamic?
For instance what if you could roll a Human druid and you could choose to be Horde or a Tauren DH in the Alliance. Would this be appealing? I’m imagining in this what if scenario that the Horde and alliance factions remain mostly as is now, the capitals wouldn’t change etc merely your character would be alone amongst the opposing faction (not including the other players that did the same thing)
For me I’m not really fond of any of the Alliance races (maybe DI but that’s a whole other thing) but if I could be a Horde race I might play on the alliance side. I’d also immediately swap my main to Void Elf in the Horde.
I’d prefer more of a mercenary system than an Orc Paladin in the Alliance
Do you mean you wouldn’t be tied to either faction?
I strongly disagree
Ew, why worgen monk.
They should do it at the same time they add red skin to draeneis, and then all will be fine.
Hmm maybe, there are certain lore reasons why certain classes and races don’t match at a fundamental level. If they can back up adding the combos with a good reason lore-wise I’d be ok with it. Like how they handled Tauren Paladins. Also, Tauren Rogues are a blight to the land and should have never been a thing (it is funny tho).
uwu;
Im all about it. Make it happen. Been 18 years a bunch of races have been hanging out and mixing cultures and such. If a Pandaren can teach an Undead or a Night elf to Monk, I am pretty sure a Human can teach how to paladin to a Night elf or Kul’Tiran. Or a Troll to teach an Undead or Nightbourne to shaman. my two cents.
Not true, being exposed to large amounts of fel for a long time turns orcs green. This is why the frostwolves turned green despite not drinking the blood.
Then the green skinned was passed down to offspring.
I doubt every race will be allowed to be DH. lol
Besides maghar, I don’t see a reason why they can’t.
Just hand out fliers in Sw and Org asking who wants to sacrifice everything to be an edge lord. Bring the flyer and get your first blindfold for free
I would roll a HMT warlock, like from Legion, in a heartbeat.
Yes overtime exposure to repeated fel will affect anyone just like radiation.
That being said the playable orcs ARE the descendants of orcs who drank the blood of mannoroth. They had direct exposure to the most potent source known.
Being exposed or using fel does not instantly make their skin green or cause any immediate changes.
