After seeing the ESO new chapter reveal

ESO at least has the advantage of feeling like an RPG. The only downside to ESO is that the abilities for classes end up being largely the same as other classes, and especially for stam classes. Otherwise, it’s a great game.

Sure, ESO isn’t technically a subscription, but technically neither is WoW.

This is embarrassing, even by wow forum standards.

Say what you will about fun per dollar spent, but wow has a sub fee LOL.

ESO puts a lot more stuff in their zones compared to WoW. The last chapter they did had two zones and an entire underground area that also worked as a zone as well. And all these zones had their own little caves, mini-instances, mini-bosses, tons of side quests and more.

ESO feels much more immersive than WoW. That alone is worth paying extra for. You also left out ESO’s many solo but shared instances + public dungeons.

Really?

How would it even work. That sounds…very very strange considering the size of WOW zones can vary greatly but generally they’re ok sized.

not to mention, eso zones expand on the world and remain relevant at all levels, while wow zones are for questing and nothing more

I agree and you can get some of the best gear sets from certain zones by just doing Stuff.

No, it’s not all over the place, you’re just trying to come at me when you didn’t bother reading it correctly before you fanboyed up. Convos done.

Also, I said WOW is the better value not ESO. Wrong again.

LASTLY, I GET that WoW is on a two year cycle which is why I specifically called out an apples to apples YEAR comparison and used historical content drops for ONE YEAR to make my assumptions. I didn’t even include the second year of WoW content in the comparison.

you didnt even mention: map sizes.

  • A new 12-player Trial: Rockgrove
  • New world events: Oblivion Portals
  • New delves, public dungeons, world bosses, and stand-alone quests
  • Updates and quality-of-life improvements

but continue on ignoring everyone else though, clearly youre just here to troll your b.s.

ESO does NOT have more content than WOW.

Period end of story and discussion.

I should have known better than to try and praise WoW in this festering pool of toxic negativity towards it and Blizz.

/Thread.

trollers gonna troll.

you heard it from the horses mouth, this person has no desire to have a discussion. what they say is fact and it doesnt matter how many people have posted to prove them right or wrong. it doesnt matter.

you’d be better off deleting this thread as there are a lot of comments that call out your b.s.

Oh noses! Can’t enjoy two different types of games. All must follow your lead and praise and play solely and only WoW.

Don’t care. I get more Eveli Sharparrow banter and quips while we go full murder hobo on filthy neutrals and some daedric foes along the way.

Only trolls here are the ones who bash WoW every chance you get yet claim to be interested in its gameplay.

You couldn’t even read my original thread correctly and came up with some stupidly wrong claims of things I omitted or never said when clearly I did.

I’ve been playing ESO since BETA, I don’t need your input on what I think of it versus WoW.

It’s CLEARLY evident WoW provides the superior value for your money versus ESO’s continuously shrinking offering for the SAME PRICE.

ESO is such a good game. It’s a lot of fun something that WoW is missing at the moment. So much character development and crafting at end game in ESO. WoW is just repetitive endgame rubbish with bad systems, mechanics, gated content, no upgrade paths at certain ilvl, lack of loot, maw and torghast are horrible content. I will let my sub lapse at this point and jump ship to ESO.

But that’s like saying you can get more pounds of cabbage for ten bucks than you can get pounds of prime rib for ten bucks. Sure that’s true, but if you don’t enjoy eating cabbage all the time, it’s a meaningless fact.

For people who dislike Shadowlands, no amount of bargain pricing makes it worthwhile. There are a shocking number of players who find this expac so dull that they won’t log in even when they have hours of free time. can’t go anywhere thanks to COVID19, and have less new movies to watch thanks to the time of year and the virus delays. And they are leaving.

This expac is cabbage. Hurrah for all of you that are into that.

Then if you don’t enjoy it, leave??? I really don’t get what the issue here is.

I don’t care if you’re enjoying WoW or ESO more that’s not the topic, the topic and point is that WOW > ESO in terms of VALUE for your money because you get measurably MORE content for the money.

If you don’t enjoy the content that’s a whole separate issue and not one I care about. I left ESO to come here because of the same reason some people are leaving WoW to go there.

But burnout of whatever gameplay practice or mechanic you consider to be “unfun” does not invalidate the fact that we get MORE content for the money with WoW.

ESO’s combat has always been its achilles heel. It does so much else right but falls flat on its face in the single most important aspect. It’s a real shame.

Yup. I am unsubbed and just have a month left because I was a sucker and bought six months of game-time. AND talked two other people into buying the expac. My bad.

But yeah, okay, you DO get a lot of cabbage for your ten bucks. You bet. I am glad you like cabbage, Corvikt. What a bargain for you!

Meanwhile path of exile still puts out more content than WoW expansions every 3 months, for free. While also constantly addressing bugs, communicating with the community, running events, etc… >_> Blizzard is literally spitting on their consumers and you people eat it up like it’s some strange kink.

The crafting in ESO is superior and the fact that WoW doesn’t have player housing yet (no garrisons are not player housing) is unacceptable after 17 years.

But there’s also so many things ESO does wrong. One of them being no global auction house, this whole running guild vendor to vendor is gimmicky and dumb.
The performance is also abysmal, PvP in Cyrodiil is painful for many which is why many quit who just focused on PvP.

Lastly, the biggest issue for me is how much good stuff they locked behind their cash shop and more specifically loot boxes. It’s a gross practice at best.
