Addons Since patch yesterday keep loading even though I set them to not

Why is this happening? Every time I login all my addons load even though I have them not to load when I have logged out.

Also since yesterday every time I log in I get titles I already had.

Same here !

When I disable the unwanted addons they are all back active again when I log back into the game.

Meanwhile, my game keeps telling me I have out of date addons, even though I checked all of my addons and they are all up to date, and in the Enable AddOn screen none of them are listed as being out of date, yet the popup still pops up saying I have out of date AddOns.

Same here. I run different UI’s for each character, so a lot is disabled per character. Each time i login now, it tries to load ALL the UI’s for whatever character I pick to play.

Your addon manager of choice will show addons as up to date as long as you have the latest addon version. If the latest version has an interface number listed in the table of contents that does not match the current wow interface number, the addon is out of date while the addon manager will show it as up to date.

As for the second part, if you have load out of date addons checked, no addons will be flagged as out of date.

I assume you’re on a Mac…

Having the same problem as others here. Yes, I’m on a Mac. I’ve also tried removing and recreating the WTF folder, and reloading the add-ons. Nothing seems to work. Every time I exit the game, when I return, all of my add-ons are marked to be loaded and I have to unselect the ones I don’t want to load. This has become a bit of an annoyance.

Yep, my game is telling me that too, which it usually only does ONCE after a new patch, but now it’s doing it every time I log in to the character select screen and then every time I return to the character select screen after logging out of the game. Even if I disable out of date addons (and some of them are, and I’m aware, but I’ve not had this issue like this before), I will still see those errors pop up every time I hit the character select screen.

This is ridiculous and frustrating, and after only a day and a half is getting really old. Meanwhile, my husband does not have this issue at all, and uses the same addons I do, and more that I don’t.

Ditto – annoying to have to set all my character’s addon each time I log in.

I am on a Mac and having the same issue.
Helloooo Bliz - are you monitoring the forums for issues?
This is very frustrating as I am on and off several times per day.
If this is not fixed by Bliz before Monday, I am sending in a ticket.

I have the same issue here. I was using “betterAddonList” and thinking it was this add-on issue, but even after disabling it and using the default add-on manager, the problem persists.

Same issue. This is super annoying.

Yep same here. I use a Mac as well. All the addons I disable are loaded again whenever I exit the game. Very frustrating but glad to know I’m not alone.

Which is a stupid design choice, it should still show the info even if you choose to bypass it.

Same here. Running on macOS Ventura 13.x
Annoying.

Same. On Mac. Sequoia 15.0.1.

Same here also on Mac.

Wildcard: I’m not on a mac and have this issue. All add-ons disabled, and the popup still appears every time I go to the character select screen since the last patch.

Pretty sure that’s a different issue. That pop-up about loading out of date addons is due to a setting in your Config.wtf file (at the global level, not account level). For most it would be something like

c:\program files (x86)\World of Warcraft_retail_\WTF\Config.wtf

The setting would look like this (when it’s set correctly)

SET lastAddonVersion “110005”

It would still show 110002 if it’s not saving that file correctly. Find that file, check the permissions, that’s most likely the issue (I set my user as the owner of the entire World of Warcraft folder (and propogate permissions)). You could also try launching as Administrator.

Hmm yeah, that seems to be my problem. As far as I can tell, all my permissions are on “Allow”. Tried administrator and that didn’t make a difference either.
