no, BfA is a not a requirement, just game time.
I was referring to the first post. I find the thread ridiculous
Same.
I use dps meters or addons that fancy up my ui.
I don’t touch dbm, bigwigs or any of that other nonsense. Didn’t even use the pvp ones when I did my 2.2 grinds.
Addons are great I guess if you need some sort of assistance. I’ve always enjoyed improving with my own skill over an addon holding my hand like some of the above ones do.
Really takes away from the earning it experience when you’ve got something making all kinds of racket warning you about every little thing.
Just imagine how much better world first races would be without dbm. The bosses might actually live more than a few days.
You rely on your ISP to provide a stable and consistent connection so that you can compete. Many competitive games do not have dedicated servers and use peer to peer host connections. Therefore you are relying on your own internet and the internet of a host to compete in a fair environment.
Just as an aside, you are the worst kind of annoying and i genuinely hope you get banned not only from the forums, but from WoW as a whole.
This is the same kind of scam that coffee companies pull. When I buy coffee it should already come with cream and sugar. I shouldn’t have to get those from questionable 3rd parties so that I can have a proper cup of coffee. I think Folgers is in cahoots with blizzard.
What a scam right? Don’t even get me started on my car’s radio…
Because… AGAIN, THEY. DO.NOT.MAKE.THESE.ADDONS
They have no obligation to put them in a single place, nor should they. we have curse and that’s perfectly fine, considering it’s built into a app that does it for you now. Does the Witcher 3 or GTA or any other modded game need to get permission for, and put all of their thousands of mods together in one place, for free, because people demand they do so?
Absolutely not.
id rather sea em ban any addons and allow none
Some people wanted a WoW with no Belfs. So keep on dreaming my pointy eared friend, sometimes dreams come true.
Autism the thread
Your comparing something like a race track that got wet so you have to depend other people to try dry off the track to something like steroids where people are injecting stuff in their bodies to gain an advantage, two complete different things. Sure they both have to rely on other people
I just don’t get you people who try and compare completely irrelevant things and think you somehow make a point that matters. Clearly just another troll who has deceived themselves into believing they are cleaver.
It’s really quite simple.
You feel Blizzard owes you to put all of the addons for wow in one convenient “blizzard” spot.
Blizzard disagrees. As do the majority of people on this forum it looks like.
If addons are so game braking for you, I suggest you unsub or learn to make your own (git gud).
It quite simple
You have no right to speak for what blizzard agrees with.
I just want get get gud at World of Warcraft.
Typical PC elitst mentality, why dont you just read a book in coding and get good at World of Warcode.
Addon users and none addon users are just playing two different games.
You know what they do in dota when they figure out people are using 3rd party programs, they put the players in a shadowpool and they only play with other cheaters.
They should do the samething in WoW, addon servers and none addon servers.
You have no right to speak for what blizzard agrees with.
Blizzard has had the API available for people to make addons for 15+ years. The only major change they’ve done was 12 years ago. If they haven’t done anything about addons by now, then it’s quite obvious they are ok with the system.
Well when blizzard released the original API there was a period of time where they didn’t do anything and then another period of time where they did do something. So obliviously there is always the potential for blizzard to change its mind on what is acceptable and unacceptable.
I am paying a premium subscription price. Why should I have to go through questionable third parties to get full functionality of my game?
Premium subscription price? There is only one level of subscription type.
Questionable third parties? When did curse become questionable?
My guess is someone scammed you into DLing a shady addon outside of Curse. That or… Aliens.
The aliens actually sent me here to this forum to try and save WoW classic from addons which will slowly kill it like retail.
We had addons back in Vanilla and it did no killing as you suggest. Cataclysm did that job well enough on its own.
Also since when is Twitch/Curse considered a questionable third party?
In all honesty, since the dawn of time.
Twitch bad, Curse spyware.
That being said, I don’t think it’s entirely necessary that players have a specific downloader program, download/install is pretty easy already for addons.
Most (not all) addons do things that YOU my friend could do with simple macro.
Macro are something you can easily learn to write, they’re not complicated at all and will enhance your gaming experience.
Macro support in Classic WoW is also very much stripped down compared to Vanilla.
You should rejoice because the default setup is closer to max potential in Classic than it was in Vanilla.
