I agree if it is more than one doing it; per looking for group channel. Blizzard had a nice one , grouping at the site only. That was cool.
If you want to continue and everyone puts you on ignore. That tends to defete the meaning of looking.
The yellow dot should be enough of a warning. Since 5 sec later dead.
So are you saying the rare spawn addons aren’t helpful/useful/informational?

Helpful for you to know where they are. I dont use them. Op said use over many times and 5 sec later is dead with 20 peeps asking for help on something thats already dead. Think about it this way.

Where are all the threads asking for Blizzard to put and end to calling for [Lust] or something something [a**l]? Or any of the other silly an awfulnthings spammed in chat? You may find it annoyinh, but if you’re going to call for Blizzard to take action then at least do it for somerhing is actually offensive before complaing about an afdon that is at the very least helpful to some of us.
I see many addons usefull.
I do not like any in chat auto warnings.
I manualy mark targets and make anoying sounds with mounts. No I dont code out every single pixle to make them, but i dont automatly have 20 other pepole do the same thing i do every time i do it.
Nor are there 500 of me accrost that …
Wut? So let me get this straight. The addon is being over used which implies a large number of players are using it and findnit helpful. But if a seemingly handful of players dislike it, Blizzard should step in and break the addon?

I don’t hunt rares and I don’t use any of these add-ons. With that said, I don’t see what the big deal is, there are a ton of add-ons that report things to chat, and if multiple people are running them, you may see multiple reports of the same thing.
I can understand how it might creep close to being spam in some situations, but if someone can get silenced for this, then why not when multiple people report raid flasks or food? Why not when wholusted goes off 3 times? Why not when someone reports everytime they interrupt?
These can all be useful tools and just because you see it more than once doesn’t mean it is intended as anything more than helpful information for you and others. It’s kind of a bad look to try to get people silenced over telling others where rares are.

I guess that would be your opinion, however, having a different channel was a compromise that doesn’t harm anyone. However, people like you seem to want it all your own way and since blizzard has been silencing people for this, enjoy.
If you see /1 in the zone as too busy for you, just close the channel and reopen it once you’re back in a city where it’ll be helpful to see it again.
Unless you’re trolling in which case, i’ve taken your bait!

I don’t even have the add on lol. What is going on in general chat that these callouts are hindering? Can you not see that you looted 142 spare parts? Or is it blocking how much rep you gained?
I just type in general when I see a rare and when it’s dead, if no add on has done so yet. General chat is a wasteland in other zones, so it’s nice to see people communicating with others, even if it’s automated.
I also find it interesting that people are losing their minds and reporting others for 3 versus 1 line of chat. But yeah, I just want it my way I guess. Keep on reporting since you aren’t getting your way.

Nothing can go on general chat because it is constant addon spam now.
And addon chat isn’t communication with people.

You don’t need oversight for something you can choose to not look at. Add chat tabs and divide them by channels.
Daddy Blizzard doesn’t have to do everything for you, you know?

Yes, but it’s mostly memes, at least on the servers I’ve been on.
That is quite an attitude you have. The only thing that matters is the add-on is allowed currently.
