Was it impossible to play the game without world buffs?
Dual spec would be a revert to a previous expansion. Wrath was before TBCC.

That was the analogy I gave earlier concerning convenience. I’ll take this as a concession that you recognize it as a convenience. Which makes any assertions otherwise in bad faith.
No, you want some system we’ve never had over another system which has precedence of being implemented when the game peaked subscribers.
Sorry, but if there’s nothing wrong with the original Dual Spec than why make a new one?
Eh?
OP posited that arena participation was bad because of the lack of dual specs. The threads I was referring pointed to all the collusion and piloting. So its relevant. /shrug
For the record I was against the chrono beacon, HvH and paladin seals.
Oh, you were against changes in a #SomeChanges environment?
How did that work out for ya?
I said it is what it is and didnt whine about it.
Oh, you didn’t whine about it? Then what’s this?
I agree, and I think the dev comments on the intention behind respeccing are also relevent now. But they almost tacitly admit that this does not apply so much to arena but virtually admitting that the only reason they don’t add DS for arena is that not that many people engage in the content.
I think increasing arena participation was probably a large factor in adding the feature in WoTLK. But I think TBCC can do better.
Dual spec solved one problem with pvp but created others in pve and it’s that age old battle between trying to make this a good RPG focused MMO and trying to give it meaningful PVP content. The two aims are often at odds.
I think there is a decent case to argue for a bit of TBCC innovation here: not dual spec but a PVP spec. A spec that automatically becomes the active spec on entering a PVP instance.
I’m not going to push or campaign for this though. The game is what it is and we all knew what we were getting. But I have no objection to this idea. Ideas like this are a nice to have not something we’re entitled to.
Umm, me describing the only way I would play in a fresh classic 60 realm and my doubts about it being possible.
Really not even in the same universe as the river of tears you pour out on a daily basis.
I know you’re nursing an extra sore butt because you’re not getting your pet project in TBC since TBC doesnt need it but Id recommend taking something for the pain. Maybe go outside and realize life aint that bad if this is the only thing you got to worry about.
You say that.
But when I read your stuff, all I see is this:
The game has changed from what we thought we were getting since its release in June.
Yet, TBCC isn’t over yet.
Yeah well quacks tend to see what they want and not whats right in front of their faces and youre pretty much a textbook case.
Sure and it will no doubt continue to. But we’re not entitled to changes. Some ideas make sense and others don’t but whether they happen or not is entirely up to Bliz.
My personal opinion is that the role of the forums is to discuss the merits of ideas and our gaming experiences with others who also enjoy the game, not to campaigned and petition incessantly for buffs that we want.
PS @OP Your post is probably the only decent threads on this topic (among about 20 of them). GJ. The forum moderators (if they exist) should delete all the other ones.
It is for you, youre QQquitting.
Until they add dual spec and then I will be back!
I know you are but what am I?
Im gonna give you a like here. I really do admire your optimism. You’ve been the most honest about where you stand. I hope they do put in dual specs for you. I mean that.
I’ll be watching and waiting like an undead rogue in Black Rock Mountain.
Scuse me all, I gotta head back to Blackrock. Enjoy the rest of your evening.
The good old days…
Wrath came before TBCC
So did Shadowlands.
IMO, the whole point of Classic was to play older versions of the game without modern features as they were then (or at least as close to it as possible).
Classic vanilla had no guild banks, no summoning stones, no instant mail between toons, no daily quests, etc. But players wanted to play it anyway as it was then.
Classic TBC has no dual spec or dungeon finder, but players wanted to play it anyway as it was then.
Classic Wrath won’t have LFR, transmog, or pet battles, but players will want to play it anyway as it was then.
I don’t know why the whole Classic concept is so difficult for some to understand and accept. These are older versions of WoW back by popular demand. If you want to play them as they were then, play them. If not, go play something else.
And yes, I know they’ve changed a few things they felt were necessary, and yes, they added a paid boost to generate more revenue. But that in no way, shape, or form supports an argument that they should add more modern features that some people want (not need).
