Adding Raider.IO score to WoW

Happens all the time, my friend. Maybe you’re on a high pop server.
If you have sub-500 io and post a key, you could sit in queue for an hour.

Server doesn’t matter.

I still think it is fabricated. shrugs I’ve never had a key sit more than 10 minutes even when I was starting out.

edit: Wait, you are alliance. Nevermind.

You all keep using that word. I don’t think it means, what you think it means.
Do you mean manufactured? That means artificially constructed
Fabricated implies deceit.

It means exactly what I think it meant, but admittedly I did not notice you were Alliance initially. That is the real issue, imho.

Which is exactly what I meant, but as I said, I didn’t notice you were Alliance.

We’re all here having a conversation to sort out the ramifications of this anticipated new system. Let’s not get all paranoid. I’m not conspiring with a coalition of casuals to scuttle this thing before it see the light of day.

Adults offer opinions and weigh issues. Children point fingers and try to silence others.

It’s not paranoia.

My point was from my perspective this does not happen. Period. BUT, that is because I am Horde. If you were Horde there is nothing you could say to convince me people were not joining keys. You aren’t Horde though, so I absolutely do believe it is an issue, I just still don’t think it is because of a tool. I think it is because the Alliance end-game is dwindling to near non-existence and that is the issue that needs to be addressed.

Definitely other factors involved, faction included.

The core problem here is that people place the burden of their getting in groups on others, not on themselves.

We spend so much time clutching our pearls over the poor new and inexperienced casuals who are held back by the nasty elitists who won’t invite them to their groups

As if it’s somehow those players responsibility to make sure nate newbie gets a group.

No. What you should be doing is spending that faux outrage on trying to convince the army of newbies who apparently can’t get groups to stop Pugging and run with friends.

No one is responsible for your game but you.

I make a ton of keys, I will invite people regardless of their spec. What’s more important to me is Battle rez, lust, covenant and IO

If only some super amazing Zandalari Troll made a Discord specifically for those people to have a place to congregate and form groups for keys.

If only…

Right? It’s been pretty successful too, for being only about a week old. Lots of networking going on.

Not gonna lie, I am pretty proud of it. I didn’t expect it to actually take off.

For people in the thread worried about not being able to find groups, I set up a Discord for people… well trying to find people to group with for M+. We have both Horde an Alliance, though admittedly more Red heavy, but all are welcome (especially dps actually because for some reason I found the holy grail of tanks and healers).

that’s a community problem. not a blizzard problem.

boosting communities routinely 2-chest 15s with 1 AFK booster, in an armor stack group ( IE: bad composition).

there’s 2k+ IO of every class and spec. Naowh 2-chested a necrotic 23 on a prot paladin ( I mostly look at tank stream).

the idea that you need fire mage-hunter-boomkin with a resto sham and VDH in your 15 is purely a community perception issue.

Designing systems that place players in otherwise unnecessary conflict is a community problem consequent to a design (i.e., Blizzard) problem.

Yes, every spec can do 22+. Yes, it’s dumb that the community often enforces ultimately irrelevant criteria. But Blizzard isn’t without blame in how those things come about.

I can’t speak for keys, but I posted a M0 solo on my alliance shadow priest with no io (no “main” io either) and 167 ilvl and had no problem getting folks to join. And this was after valor, when 0s were even more pointless than they already are.

Yeah, idk. I give a little leeway to alliance because I know they are struggling. But if a Horde ever says no one joins keys then they are gonna burst into flames from lying.

Yeah, I can’t speak to what a dps solo queue is like at higher levels on alliance. I’m sure it’s a pain.

Yeah for sure. I am going to level one of my Alliance this weekend but still deciding which.

Lol, no joke. Every time someone new joins, I’m like, “Please be a dps…please be a dps…”

(Though seriously, it’s great seeing all the tanks and healers there, too, willing to help folks out.)
