Ybarra at least played the games beyond their promotional periods. Ybarra randomly showing up in Twitch chats was pretty cool too – including streamers with less than 50 viewers.

I’m waiting with bated breath, but this already doesn’t bode well. It’s really not encouraging that some nobody who worked as the executive for a genuinely terrible franchise, which has 100% nothing to do with Blizzard games, is now running the company. Do we really not have higher standards than this? Hiring someone whose expertise is Call of Duty should be a legitimate embarrassment.
Their entire goal with Call of Duty for the past decade (probably more, I barely follow it) has just been milking money from their customers, and offering them severely subpar products in return. Just like MW3 was just a DLC sold as a whole game, I’m worried we’re going to see something like the 11.2 patch sold to us as if it were a whole expansion.

I’d say DF is a W. This is my most played expansion and looking at what you can see from warcraft logs 10.2 seems to have garnered quite a lot of players.

Games as a service is a cancer. The only MMO I’ve ever paid for is WoW and barley play it and sub to it anymore.
Have such a backlog of games on Steam that I could quit buying games today and never need to buy another for the rest of my life.
Hard disagree, subscription services like that are one of the worst things to ever happen to gaming.

I disagree, I think people get unnecessarily hellbent on the whole “purchased the license not the game” thing.
The Microsoft Game Pass is in my opinion one of the best… systems? for PC gamers in a long while.

lmao if they actually are planning on doing that they are gonna need to turn down the difficulty of Mythic. Only 43 guilds in the US have killed Fyrakk so far.
It will be much faster. I’m not even sure each expansion lasts 1 year. Expect 3 seasons not 4.
I have no idea what this means for the future of the game.
