Huge Blizzard L. Hopefully it is a temporary president.

Her job is to make the game profitable while keeping shareholders happy.

Lol.

Really curious to know what you guys think a new expansion would otherwise be, since “new zones, new dungeons, new raid, maybe new BG, but it’s still World of Warcraft” has been every expac since Burning Crusade.

You can like a game without it being critically acclaimed. Having your own opinion is hard tho so most people just follow the review scores blindly.

This is literally Classic WoW.

There’s a difference though.

Classic WoW isn’t “WoW2 1.0”

But MW3 feels like MW2 1.1

WoW has been the same game for a decade and NOW people are like “oh no it’s going to be the same game!”. It’s very funny.

Well, I guess nobody has to worry about her selling carries…I highly doubt she has ever played WoW

A. you have no clue or the ability to judge that… and B. thats what leadership entails.

Leadership isn’t fully in the weeds, but just enough to keep corporate happy while steering the company in the right direction…

Nevermind being in the middle of the most hated expansion ever, during a HUGE controversy that saw massive changes in corporate environment, and during a pandemic that destroyed employment and the way we work.

Through ALL OF THAT, steered them into a positive light? Is it all on him? Nope. But hes in leadership and is absolutely open to criticism, so should be open to applause as well.

It does for an expansion, if less people even tried DF than SL it means a lot. ‘retention’ for a smaller group of players means only a small group even tried it.

Maybe she’ll prove everyone wrong but given that the decision to put SBM in MW I have a feeling that we’re going to see a shift of the game being focused on the .1%. Mythic becoming even more of just a thing for RWFers would be a nightmare but it’s very possible someone can look at it from an outside perspective and say “Hey this RWF thing seems popular lets make it more of a thing!”.

She likely has almost no idea of what goes on with WoW… Could be a good thing or a terrible thing depending on who is in charge of WoW.

RWF has been player-driven from the first race, and the big guilds have more sponsors than Blizzard would ever put up. It’s free publicity for their game and tons of viewers and they don’t have to actually spend a dime on it. Why would they start now?

We’re all thinking it but won’t say it.

I honestly don’t think it really matters. Can’t say I’ve ever particularly minded which suits are sitting in which office.

Buncha hoopla over nothing.

All corpos are the same anyway.

But it doesn’t. Dragonflight had a slower start because the game was literally dead at its launch. But guess what? It’s grown consistently throughout. There is a lot more to MMO success than first day sales. SL had higher first day sales, that then fizzled out to nothing as the vast majority quit. Meanwhile sure Dragonflight didn’t have as big of a spike of sales (noone expected it to), but subs have consistently grown throughout as word of mouth spreads.

Depends on how hands on they are. If they want to micro manage every game we’re in for a bad time.

I mean… we cant we’ll get banned.

But its for sure a …

Demanding Equation Irrigation hire… if you catch my drift.

Everyone with any sense saw this coming from 100 miles away…

Microsoft has never done anything good in their entire history.
