Activision Blizzard sued by California. This is bad

I’m not a blizzard fanboy, I’m actually quite critical of them.

However don’t you think people are more skeptical now adays after so many false accusations have been made in recent times and proven to be false?

What I got reading that blizzard response was them basically acknowledging there were some issues but they have been working to clean it up.

obviously it takes someone who has a mental issue to commit suicide in circumstances they can escape just by leaving the job…but that would be kind of the point.
WORK is supposed to be WORK, not play…and as Hank Hill says…thats why its CALLED WORK and not play.
If she committed suicide over work stress…working too hard…unrealistic demands, etc…thats bad enough.
But if even ONE act of impropriety by a supervisor of whatever sort was also part of it, then someone or someones need to be grilled to the fullest extent of the law.

I mean this explains why content has been little to none if theyre just being creeps and playing games all day.

The part about the suicide though…. jesus

Actually it’s a federal law that is just stronger in California. All employers are required to provide a lactation area for nursing mothers. You claim to be some kind of supervisor right?

This actually explains a lot more of why the wow culture at blizzard feels off.

This isn’t just a California thing. Many big companies offer these kind of amenities in their larger buildings. I worked for many years in a large center for one of the mains biggest financial companies and we had four lactation rooms in our building. It’s called taking care of your employees.

after a couple years of investigations?
No…sorry.
If this was just being tossed out by one person who just recently got laid off or fired…maybe.

This from the company that pays no taxes, because tax evasion, ya know…

Oh, and fire hundreds of employees while the CEO gets huge bonuses while you’re at it…

Oh, and bans a poor schmuck for saying “Free Honk Kong” while having the hypocrisy to have a plaque outside their offices that reads “All voices matter”…

Is that you, Jeff Bezos?

Wow, the details of the complaint are even worse than what’s in the article.

I sure would.

Not to sound like the old man but in my parents day woman stayed at home and raised children. It was still the generation of farms that needed large families and high child deaths. My mothers side of the family had 11 children while my fathers had 12 children.

As a result men were paid more then they are now to support all those people as there were no two income households.

Culture has change remarkably fast, when it comes to the roles people play.

Probably overwatch as well, look at the disaster that is OW2

It’s a weird place now. The only decent places to live are million dollar+ starting prices on homes. Because of mass immigration and lib school policy the schools are failing and they have no idea how to fix it besides coming up with terms like “equity”

So you just automatically assume all the females are interns? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

  1. Most women don’t take a year. Most maternity leaves aren’t a year. And there are quite a few who will come back as soon as possible because their career is important.
  2. This is a crap view of women, even if you still supposedly value them.

Stuff happens. Emergencies occur. God forbid.

… it’s a state requirement. Are you that ignorant of how the world and women work? Seriously??

Two
Year

TWO  YEAR  INVESTIGATION

What is wrong with you? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

A piss poor one.

Wow… talk about a lie. ROFL
