I logged on this morning, all my gold and mounts were removed, I start farming to build up my gold and now a getting another account suspension.
Recent activity shows that a user on this account acquired gold through illicit means, such as gold buying, botting, or participating in other real-money transactions. As a result of this activity we have suspended this account until 2021/07/10.
Can you please explain what the suspended is for this time, I have not purchased gold or used any bot programs.
Iâm more concerned of this happening again and again. Sure I took it on the chin first suspension however this time, I havenât done anything that would cause a suspension.
No one here can as this forum is one for players to support and assist other players. There are no GMs here.
It may even take a little longer than that, with the new patch having dropped and the inevitable new bugs and issues that arise from it. Unfortunately, that is the only path open to you and everyone else to get issues dealt with. There hasnât been a phone number for years. Live chat support - when available - is only for billing-related issues. Not account sanctions.
You shouldnât âtake it on the chinâ. The appeals process is there for a reason. If you truly did nothing wrong, youâre allowed to appeal and keep appealing until they tell you no more will be accepted. Especially since it happened right again, you donât want to keep accruing black marks against your account.
The short suspensions are honestly striking me as odd, not something we normally see around here when it comes to those particular charges. And while Darth is correct in that account sanctions and such arenât allowed to be discussed and debated, we do get a teensy bit of leeway in the spirit of educating folks. Just because there is usually some culprit in the wheelhouse of the botting issue, you didnât say whether you multi-boxed at all? Or used any software/hardware that may be in use to aid with accessibility or anything of the sort? Because there had been updates to those policies that some people might not have paid any mind to, that have just recently caught up to them?
And too, just because you just got back in to do some farming after the first suspension, doesnât mean what you did in that small window of time had anything to do with the second suspension kicking in.
Ultimately, all you can do is wait on your ticket response. Blizzard will not give in-depth information as to what you did, as that information can be used to help botters and players doing wrong work the system. That has been their policy as far back as I can recall. But you do have the recourse of appealing as many times as theyâll allow before they say stop.
Honestly thatâs just the easiest thing to try and rule out or acknowledge, so I just wanted to ask. I am glad it sounds as though it was all resolved though! Hopefully you wonât have any further issues, but if you do, please do not hesitate to file an appeal or a ticket immediately.
I ran into the same situation on my other account. Under 24 hours right after a suspension, I was suspended again with the same message. Opened an ticket to appeal the suspension, but it has been more than 6 hours while yours seem to be resolved within two from the time of making this post.
We do our best to keep the game environment safe for our players and to minimize as much as humanly possible the effects of cheats and those that would abuse the game and their fellow players.
We are also human, Iâll be the last to state mistakes never happen, they are rare - but they can. I know that is small comfort if yours happens to be one of them.
As already pointed out, that is indeed why the appeals process exists.
Appeals can range in timeframes. There are multiple potential paths an appeal can be investigated - some of them take a great deal longer than others.
Protect your account with an authenticator. It is by far the most effective means of keeping your Blizzard Account safe, and they donât steal accounts to do âniceâ things with them.
The exact same thing just happened to me ⌠14 hours after my suspension i was suspended again for 3 days. The GM told me it was resuspended for the same offense and i will have to wait the 3 days again, because they are unable to lift suspensions ( even though they just did for you) . It seems like you got someone willing to help you which is promising.
It is not about being âwillingâ. They have to follow whatever policy is in place. If there is a new issue with completed suspensions being accidentally re-issued they have to tell all the folks who take tickets. That can take a bit of time to communicate.
I understand that but i received my response about 2 hours ago with a different result to his but seemingly same situation - suspended- online for 14 hours then resuspended. ( Yes not everyone is identical, i know), so iâm a little disappointed.
Youâre the fourth (?) person Iâve seen since last night that this has happened to. It seems like there might be some sort of bug with this? Send in your appeal, and keep appealing it. Reference this thread if youâd like, or the other too since there is another case of this where it may be something incorrectly applied.
They are ârareâ? Come on, Orlyia. I just had a recent example of how one of my accounts was suspended for âgold buyingâ (ticket: 80230220) when I was the one who escalated a suspicious mail with gold in my in-box to Blizzard.
I was assured that a âthoroughâ review was done, which was ridiculous. I have had a clean record for 15 years. That wasnât human error. That was laziness for not doing a thorough job.
I have lost faith in the CS teamâs ability to properly handle appeals.
You ignored the advice of the GM, Charax. Had you heeded it - it would not have turned out as it did. We have an entire dept which handles such things - and THEY are not GMs. The GM gave you the very best advice they could given the situation - I read over that when you posted the first time. Sorry, the fact you totally ignored what they told you is in fact - on you.
When you look at the number of mistakes made versus legitimate punishments versus total players out there in the world? Yeah. Mistakes are rare. Only a very small minority ever bring it here to the forums, and when mistakes are discovered, they are rectified.
If they didnât give a rip, there wouldnât be an appeals process and youâd just be SOL. They admit when mistakes are made. They work to fix said mistakes. No one is perfect, itâs going to happen at some point or another.
