After seeing your posts replying to people civilly responding to you here on the most heavily moderated forum, I can only imagine how lovely you are when replying to someone in direct chat messages in game.
You agreed to the ToS when you signed up for the game. You are not special. We are all expected to follow the same rules. It doesn’t matter how many reports that are sent out. If Blizz feels it violated the rules that you agreed to you can be actioned.
…May be just me but there may be an underlying problem if it’s EVERY day.
…Ah.
If you can’t be on talking terms with someone, /ignore them. If they are sending things against ToS, file a chat report by right clicking their name and clicking the proper category.
Think of it this way: If reporting did nothing threads like this and many like it wouldn’t exist.
Then he should absolutely be penalized for that toxic behavior.
Then you should be penalized for your vulgar language.
Not necessarily. As I understand the system, the severity of the penalty is based on the history of chat/social violations on the account, not necessarily the relative “awfulness” of the chat. So if you have multiple chat violations in your history, you would receive a harsher penalty than someone who has no prior infractions.
If you are really doing this and the other players are, indeed, bullying or engaging in other toxic conduct, then those players should absolutely be penalized. Keep sending those reports every single time they behave that way.
Player gets reported and penalized. Showing that reporting does in fact have results if the report is valid and backed by the chat logs.
Same player who got penalized by reports, complains reports do nothing. Well, if the person reported did not break the rules, then no, it does not do anything. It also does not count repeat reports from the same account. So one person spamming reports can’t have an oversized impact.
It just seems odd to both complain they got in trouble from being reported and also complain reports don’t work. While demonstrating that they are really upset about it but calling others sensitive. I just… One person is upset and ranting on the forums. It is not the person who raised their eyebrows, right click reported, and moved on with their day.
