Got banned on my EU account 12 hours ago, i cannot post on the CS forums because of the ban so i hoped into my US account , ive opened a ticket with number : * Ticket Number: EU97363768
I havent played WoW in EU for over a year , my friends wanted to play anniversary realms like in the good old days and decided to resub , i was just doing dungeons with groups and went to sleep , today i wake up and my account is closed with this email :

I did not use any kind of automation software or anything remotely similar to this , my account is 10+ years old and i have played all classic releases and up to DF on retail.I do not use VPN’s , i have no reason to use one and never used them , recently like a month ago i had my PC reinstalled because i bought a new GPU so it is as fresh as it can get , the only software i have is bnet and wow , steam , python + miniconda , vs code studio , anydesk , msi after burner , gpu-z , jellyfin server.

Now, in responce, only thing you can do is appeal. Nothing can be done via the forums, and posting on the forums won’t make the ticket get reviewed any faster.

Work software : yes i do have work software installed , python and mini conda vs code and everything else i need. I’m a software developer but im front-end , back-end developer , i do not code or use any kind of bot automation software for games.
M/K macros : i dont have any macros setup or installed , i have razer M/K and synapse installed but i dont the macro’s addon installed , just the basic barebone synapse to make my hardware work , razer is just terrible and the sound is terrible on my kraken without it installed.
Programs/Softwares for other games : The only thing i have is steam , i dont have any kind of debuggers or anything remotely close to it for another games installed , i very rarelly play games nowdays , i just resubed 3 days ago to play the new fresh with friends. before that i was playing VoH d4 for 2 weeks.
Let me explain my reason why i decided to post on forums even tho i know it will not help me or speed up the process.
I saw that there are already 3 people like me reported the same issue on this US forum , and i want to contribute with my post aswell , if we are that many it means that something must be going terribly wrong with their automation ban system, if we all just stay silent its gonna get worse and more innocent people will get their game license revoked.
I know that i should be just contacting GMs in ticket systems , but ive seen where this leads to , ive seen people over reddit/forums post about their bans and i know where it leads to , its either unban after 4-5 appeals with just “oh sorry our bad , turns out you are not a cheater” or it leads to nothing. The bigger you are (like famous streamer) the bigger the chances of being unbanned.
When an account is flagged, either by Warden detecting something, or a player report, it’s still investigated by a GM before any account action is applied.

Isn’t it funny how all these “I’m innocent” posts all begin to parrot the same thing, particularly when the account closure type is the same. Hmmm?
The problem is that people on Reddit/GD have found that lying about blizzard’s account suspension policies and practices to make blizzard look bad results in upvotes and engagement, so they continue to do it.
WOW! i cannot believe it was so fast , i was prepared to wait 2-3 weeks for a response and i was already in depressed state , but all it took was 6 hours to get my account unbanned. Im honestly very grateful and surprised , thank you guys for review my case.

I just have one question , and im not sure where to ask about it. Was this a mistake by blizzard end , i got caught in a crossfire or something like that.
Or was it something running on my PC , as i stated im a software dev and i have python and NextJS servers runnings on my PC , i test implementations on my pc before deploying to prod , so now i’m just scared to login into my character again , what if that happens again and this time its permament because it happened twice.
Also could it be social interractions i had , a guildie i was talking to on discord was complaining he had no bags or money , so before i went to sleep i gave him bags + 50 silvers , i have given away bags to random players in SW too , the ones i dont need anymore , could this be flagged as a gold seller ?
It could be due to social interractions , servers are so packed we fight to tags and i already had death threats on whispers for simply stealing a mob tag , he could had reported me for botting simply because he was angry at me , i had people steal my tags but i never say or do anything just move on with my life.
They will not tell you what caused this. But seems like a number of people have had this recently, So possibly a ban wave and you got flagged as a result but they will never tell you exactly why.

I’ll be the last person to ever claim a false positive doesn’t happen, they do - we know they do. 99.9% aren’t, but appeals are for the .1% that may be.
