I just want to add on to this, just because you don’t use any cheats or hacks, or haven’t exploited, doesn’t mean exactly that. Blizzard uses an Anti-Cheat called the Warden, and there could be a number of things that it could’ve picked up that could’ve triggered for investigation and action. Blizzard won’t go into details about what, because if there is one thing, people who do cheat or hack, would love to find a way around it without being caught.
Now, it could be anything that could’ve triggered:
- Work Software: Some people who use there computers for WoW and Work have been caught up as the software used for there work could trigger for the Warden to send flags to Blizzard.
- Mouse/Keyboard Macro’s: Having a macro set up on your mouse or keyboard that is set outside of the game can also trigger for this.
- Programs/Softwares for other games: Yes, the Warden would pick somethings up if using for another game and not for World of Warcraft.
These are just some things out of a whole list of stuff. Another thing also, you could’ve been caught in a ban wave and Blizzard made an error. Yes, sometimes, innocent players do get caught in these. But there is no way of telling for any of us here on the forums if that is the case. As Lorethon said, only appealing will decide.
