Is there any way I can get my pet back? It’s the raptor I’ve had since level 10, and I accidentally abandoned him. Please help

I took a day off the game and waited patiently, I don’t think it’s fair to then be denied something that has been done for others?
Please, it’s not about aesthetics, the nearest level raptor is Tethis at 43… that’s gonna ruin my game. Please help me!!

Think the problem is orlyia mite have assumed it was for retail not classic retail GM are a bit more flexable classic not so much due to the whole I want the original exp. You can reopen the ticket and say i still have a problem and see if they will change there mind.

alot of players post on classic toons weather or not they play on retail as well easy to assume u were talking retail.

I thought you were talking about retail too. I do recall that back in the day, they could not restore pets. That is a more recent development on retail.

Just for future reference, GM’s are pretty hands-off when it comes to Classic. Continue putting in tickets as issues arise that can’t fixed by looking info up, but be aware that they can’t do much.
Just to point it out, Orlyia didn’t said that filing a ticket will get it fix. She said “we’ll see if it can be recovered.” Nothing implying that it will be done. More to the point, the GMs ain’t there to act like pet rescue team.

If you actually read what I wrote you’ll see that I reference another post where Orlyia has been able to successfully help someone else with the same issue.
And if there’s a function to retrieve deleted characters then I don’t see what’s so morally wrong with wanting deleted pets back? Besides, the two options are right next to each other, and unless I’m mistaken there is no abandon prompt to prevent misclicks.
And just for future reference, I don’t think it’s okay to tell me continue trying but not expect anything because the GM’s are incompetent. What are you trying to achieve with that comment? Go complain on your own thread please, I’m just here looking for help.
She didn’t give the player back the pet. That is not the purpose of the forums. She directed to make a ticket and see what a GM can do. They can not always restore a pet.
It’s not a moral issue. It all depends on what tools and policies the GMs are given.
Pretty sure there was the last time I abandoned a hunter pet. If there isn’t, you need to post in the Hunter forum.
No one said the GMs are incompetent. That is your word. They said that they are limited by tools and policy. That is not incompetence.
Anyone with an account in good standing is permitted to post in threads in the Customer Support forum. You don’t get a say in who does.
You were given help. You didn’t like it. Setting up expectations that the GMs might not be able to help you is giving help.

Just to jump off what Rufflebottom said, the forums isn’t a bypass to the ticketing system - more to the point of getting another answer when told no. The Blues on the forum isn’t someone to get what you want, nor they’re there to say “The blues on the forum did this, so you should be able to do it for me, too!” kind of thing.
More often than not, the blue posters are often pointed at to try to get what they want. The only time the blues posters say to link their posts is to help with restoring items on accounts that was hacked, or finding something that gone wrong in odd events. Like, a rare bug where an item wasn’t showing in the logs, but there’s an achievement that give said item.

Just wanted to pop in here to confirm that Game Masters are hands off when it comes to this in Classic.
In Classic, the pet system is a little more involved and requires players to maintain the happiness/loyalty of the pet or it will run away. So, Game Masters don’t get involved in returning hunter pets if abandoned or they have run away.
