A true net negative patch

So little people read the forums or follow Blizz for a lot of the info though. People see the launcher with “patch release date and features!!” And I think it gets people excited for it.

It sounds like you’ve been put on ignore for 1 year… whatever will you do now?

Oh no, my fragile emotional state, how will I ever live past someone online not liking me?

Sounds like a net win since he’s too afraid to have his profile set to be ignored on my end.

yeah… usually I like some content in my patches. The weird kill X world quests and buggy stand here to start waves of enemies isn’t really good.

That’s their problem. Not Blizzard’s.

Like, if I’m going to assemble a piece of furniture, I don’t just wing it and try to put it together without reading the instructions. I grab the instruction booklet, I read it, and I put things together based on what I’m told.

When a game releases new content, I read patch notes to see what’s being added. That way I know when an event is going to be active, how long it’s going to be active for, what changes are occurring to my class, etc. It takes 5 minutes out of my day, tops, and I walk away informed so I’m not making rage posts and looking like an idiot on the forums.

Crazy how simple that is.

If you can’t be bothered to read what has been put in front of you well in advance, then you lose the right to be surprised. The only time this rule doesn’t apply is if there are unannounced changes in the patch that aren’t in the patch notes. In that case, and that case only, then you have the right to be upset. Especially if the unannounced changes negatively impact you.

But if you end up falling in a hole after ignoring several signs telling you that there’s a hole in front of you? That’s your problem.

Oh I can share how you can put someone on ignore w/a private profile (I know the irony that I have one too  )

I don’t mind people having private profiles but mobile is a pain to navigate ignoring from it. And using it as a way to be a giant child is something.

Yeah mobile is a pain to deal with :frowning:

You Blizz defenders have been gaslit. You are arguing over how they relay info about bugs, without realizing THERE SHOULDN’T BE BUGS THERE TO BEGIN WITH!!

Scroll back and look how many are defending blizzard without realizing what gets released to us is a broken product.

NO other industry would this even be remotely done. You don’t knowingly release a broken product.

How did all of us ever get used to this unacceptable business practice and now actually see it as “normal” or “acceptable”.

Name one other frigging industry where it is perfectly acceptable to offer a broken product or a non functioning service, and then tell the customer it’s on them???

This is our, the players, fault because we have accepted this as OK.

It’s not…

That kinda how I feel but i tend to be hard on myself lol

Welcome to every game launch ever (both online and offline). No game ever launches without bugs, and no game patch ever drops without bugs. Ask any game developer, especially ones who work in QA, and they’ll flat out tell you that. Even when Blizzard had a fully staffed and exceptionally large QA team? Bugs still existed in every single patch.

Anyone not stuffing their head in the sand is aware of this.

Do you really think, even for a moment, that Blizzard developers want the patch to go live with bugs? Of course they don’t. No game developer does. But it is quite literally impossible for a patch to drop without them. Bugs have been in WoW patches since Blizzard launched WoW in 2004. It has not changed, and it will never change. Even if they delayed the patch by a year and spent all that time in QA, it would still drop with bugs.

So lead the way, cancel your sub.

People who say go touch grass need to go touch grass

Ion is on an alt again guys lololol

I doubt they’re embarrassed… but I really hope they are.

I do. Months at a time. I almost skipped SL entirely because of that whole fiasco. If the product is defective, you shouldn’t pay.

Please, if I were actually Ion, I’d have banned half you people from the forums already just for how foolish you’re behaving.

To be embarrassed, you have to actually care and it is obvious over this entire WWI patch, they have show time and time again they do not care about the customer other than some marketing word salad they throw around about “making things right”, “respecting the communities time”, yada yada yada.

Lol I don’t doubt it. Many have come and many have tried but alas i remain. I am eternal

Kind of seems like the same issues every patch. The team that implements these patches needs…something. Not calling for people to lose their jobs, but they need to do better.
