Then if you want those herbs, you’ll have to compete with everyone else who is also looking for those herbs. 10 characters going after one herb is still 10 characters. If you see 10 characters huddled around one herb, move onto the next herb.
No they’re not… someone is literally pushing keys…
Are you trying to sound smart?
My point is multiboxers are not herbing in groups of 10, 11, 20 or fifty - despite many anti-boxers recently claiming here they do.
One key press equals 10 toons looting one herb. GFTO honestly, idc if it’s accepted by blizz still is a crappy thing.
I’d be fine with that; more multi-boxers means more mats on the AH which leads to the less expensive mats.
You love botters do you?
Because this “solution” would not inconvenience botters in the slightest’
All it would do is remove some of their competition -
which I suspect is the whole purpose of this crop of threads.
I like the idea of phased randomized nodes or say, 1-2 randomized nodes sets per characters, randomly decided for the next day each time you entered a zone. Say, you enter Naz, on the computer everything looks the same, but all the nodes are different. HOWEVER while you first start, herbs are medium, and continue to spawn normally, after 1-3 hours they randomly start depleting on your screen and you could get a random seed to say, stop a botter or farmer from capping every single herb 24/7. After 1 hour the herbs might be 50%-80% lower, after 2 hours it might set up, and it could say, bet set up to every 25 nodes you loot, you see 10% less, etc. So the first 24% you see 100% of herbs. After looting say 50 nodes in a hour you could still see 80% as many, but if you try and farm 24/7 eventually the node will just clear out.
This way, multiboxers and bots couldn’t all just gather nodes. or they could go the tried and true route and keep node respawns set to 2 for herbs and double the spawn rate to compensate. We could still make money and not have to compete against Overwatch Multibox goblins setting up 5 accounts and 180k wow token prices to buy lootboxes.
People using 5 accounts pay for each of them, and each of those accounts takes time and money in upkeep. No-one is getting anything free.
That isn’t going to make your 20 herbs on the AH sell for more. It might make you feel better for a minute. That’s about all.
Botters would absolutely love to have it your way, FYI and herbs on the AH would be near worthless.
That’s why the system is set up to decay, so that if a botter went crazy, a person farming nodes for 20 minutes might not notice a difference, but a bot farm setting rows of bots farming 24/7??? They’d only be able to farm effectively for a few hours or so before they’d just stop spawning. As we all know, bots are made to do highly repeatable content for 8-24 hours straight. If they did this, under the new system it’d be pretty easy to just say, completely stop node spawns after 5 hours without rest in a day if they wanted or reduce it to a current botting depleted zone.
Botters would just rotate groups or switch areas.
The only answer to botters is to ban them - as Blizzard already does.
10 times, also despawn 10 secs after being picked.
As for the OP, we had personal gathering in WoD, fun times
No they arnt. I manage all 10 of my accounts without using any third party programs at all.
If you think Blizzard is going to alienate individuals that pay 50 times what you do I have bridge to sell you…
Even if by some miracle you find yourself in a zone stripped of herbs (I’ve never seen this), just join a raid or something to switch shards and you’ll get away from the 'boxer.
Here is an informative topic wherein a lengthy and enlightening debate occurred.
I don’t think Actiblizzard will ever have a problem with multiboxers, seeing as they a paying for 5 different subs most the time. We all know how much ActiBlizzard loves that sweet juicy money cow.
You refused to answer his question. You also used the “it’s about money” argument which invalidates anything you tried to say. It only proves that you are biased against multiboxing and don’t care about why they’re actually allowed.
Activision-Blizzard is a multi-BILLION dollar company. There would have to be tens of thousands of multiboxers in order for Bobby Kotick to care about them.
But there aren’t. There’s a very small number of them contributing a piddly amount of extra income. They could ban them all tomorrow, introduce a cute pet on the store, and end up with even more money than they started with.
We had this in the garrison and mat prices plummeted. It killed herb and mining gathering for WoD.
