A simple void elf request

Pretend he’s saying road instead of ground.

Neither does yelling back. It just gives them ammo.

Visual distinction is being lost nice try.

The only reason this is the situation is because they gave you a huge handout as a win, and you can’t stop there so yes it is what is left in the visual distinction department.

If hair colors aren’t important you don’t need them anyways, enjoy more Void hair colors :hugs:

Where are you getting your numbers from?

I’ve never said anything against belfs though.
If anything I support them and want them to get more options long before void elves do, so you can stop with your pretentious verbal nonsense.

While I agree with the idea that blood elves need much more, I disagree with the notion that a hair color is “all that’s left”, and like I said if that’s really the hill they choose to die on instead of making suggestions, then that’s not the fault of void elf fans who just want to change their hair color.
And yes, people love their toons, yet they feel the need to limit the hair colors of other people who also love their toons, spot the hypocrisy.

I support this, but seeing as how certain blood elf and void elf players want to look like high elves, I’m ok with both camps.

I’ve never accused anyone supporting blood elf/nightborne customizations of trolling. I’ve even made some suggestions for both races myself, would that make me a troll as well? I’m not really understanding you here

You do by virtue of you dismissing and disregarding visual distinction being kept as a valid request and go on to label people as weird and spiteful or wasting their time.

You want to dictate the narrative of which BE players place their request because what many do agree on visual distinction being left in place conflicts with your own request.

In the interest of gauging everyone’s reaction on both sides here, I made a mockup that compares a Blood Elf and a Void Elf that have more or less the same customizations (I may or may not have chosen the same face on both, forgive me if I didn’t) but the Void Elf has the dirty blonde that humans get.

The left is the Blood Elf, the middle is the Void Elf with the Human version of said Blood Elf hairstyle (the shape is a bit off, that’s my fault) and the one on the right is the Void Elf with a Void Elf hairstyle recoloured to a similar colour as the Human’s dirty blonde.

I’m not coming down on this on either side, just made the mockup so people have another visual they can compare with their own eyes.

Do you honestly think people will “leave in droves” towards people getting more customization options Lann?
If you and the 5 constant posters are what you call the “vocal majority” out of the millions of blood elf players, I have concerns for you.

I doubt players will go “aw gee! More hair color options, time to quit wow!”, this is pretty obvious though.

I never said that I’m asking where you’re getting that support for those hair colors are the majority?

BE players don’t have to quit to be against losing the visual distinction we have left, and time and time again it’s not universal support like HE fans like to claim.

There you are pushing that “antis are bad for their stance” again.

No one is evil because you can’t get 100% of what you want, you have the model, you have the skin tones, you’re 90% of the way there and are mad people take issue with that last 10% excuse me if I don’t sympathize in the least.

It’s not an assumption on my take on how you view the opposition. You’ve made it perfectly clear every chance you get and the fact it works for your goal to villainize the opposition makes sense it’s just in poor taste.

There you go again, never miss a chance to belittle and “other” people.

Yes it doesn’t come as a surprise that people who were against HEs don’t want a further model copy to take place. Hair colors brings that closer to what they were against to begin with. Why is that shocking to you?

Which is fine to dissagree.

Between the fights and when we somehow manage to stay on topic they often will talk about what they want.

The issue is most people get into fighting matches rather than just accepting what peoples opinions are one way or another.

I would hope everyone this involved in their customizations would love their toons.

I dont think its hypocrisy. Its a a difference of opinion.

One side sees hair color as the last thing they need for high elves the other sees it as the last thing that separates blood elves from void elves.

These two opinions on the matter cannot coincide. There was always going to be conflict.

Thats perfectly fair.

Not everyone will agree though. It doesn’t make them evil or bad or what have you. (not saying you claim this but I’ve seen it a few times)

I was not saying specifically that you were saying they were “trolls”, its something that often comes up.

The issue you tend to face is that you dismiss their viewpoint on the hair and get rather hostile to it.

You don’t see their point of view at all and you don’t try to.

You just dismiss it.

My view is about the same.

Its kinda how I already knew it would look they’re nearly identical.

I agree with Lann here. You go out of your way often to belittle folk.

As a result you’re going to get hostile reactions and then this whole thing continues down the same path.

Even when people disagree, even those you’re super against right now, they often can talk with people with your stance just fine if everyone relaxes and stops trying to piss each other off.

Your “high” elf fan kin keep trying to destroy Blood Elves over something as insignificant as hair color.

Is the forum messing up? It shows me that you’re responding to me…

If so, I have no high elf fan kin. I’m a Void elf.

It’s messing up.

Ah, I thought it might be… lol it didn’t make sense otherwise.

My opposition isn’t the antis in general, I’m sure there are many antis who are happy with the fact that high elves aren’t playable.

What I’m saying is I oppose people who want to limit someone’s choice of hair color, yes. Does that make me or you a bad person? No.
Does it mean your constant denigrating of people who want to choose their haircolor is necessary? No.

You can stop playing the victim game now.

Would you prefer I referred to your group as the squad? friends? How can I not hurt your feelings.

It does come as a surprise to me that your choose a hair color as your hill to die on instead of actually making suggestions, yes. At this rate I doubt blood elves will ever get anything.

That’s fine in practice, that’s not what people are doing. I can agree to disagree, but I draw the line at the “LOL GET OUT WITH UR AGENDA UR HAIR COLOR OFFENDS ME” randomness.

I’ve never dismissed people over wanting something for blood elves, or any race.

Yes I have been dismissive towards the “I don’t want YOU to have something that has no effect on me because of MY feelings” for pretty obvious reasons. This kind of ideology is is what the anti-haircolorists stand behind.

Wanting hair colors that takes the last of visual distinction away from BEs doesn’t make you a good person, you aren’t automatically on the good side and everyone else is bad. Full stop.

This is a perfect example of a natural hair colour that blood elves don’t get.

Does it make the void elf look exactly like the blood elf? No. If you say it does, you’re lying to suit your side.

Does it make the void elf look more similar to the blood elf? Yes. If you say it doesn’t, you’re lying to suit your side.

Going against facts to suit one’s side is pointless.

I consider myself neutral on this specific point because while I do want natural hair colours for void elves, I also concede it would make them look more similar to blood elves.
