A simple void elf request

Yeah I agree that it’s weird that Blood Elves never had Farstrider tattoos and that Void Elves don’t have an off variant of them at least.

I’m sure they’ll get to it eventually, it would be weird for them to have added stuff like that to Core Races only and not Allied Races or maybe I’m just being super hopeful to have super knife ears on my Nightborne.

“Fun” fact: The long tails existed in the LF Draenei files since 7.3.5 when they were introduced (leading people to think they’d have this customization option from the get-go), but simply aren’t usable. They’re fully animated and work with the model, we’re just not allowed to have them because ???.

I really like the asymmetrical earring, but nightborne need more hairstyles /colors to reflect their relentless fanciness. I’d love to see the mana glow hands as a choice, too, and the aforementioned option to be a bit nightfallen. And if ever any single race needed body jewelry options, it’s them.

…and more faces. Especially for the men.

Watch as a single person does all the customization that WoW’s team apparently cannot.

I swear, someone could make their own MMO out of the stuff that Blizzard creates, but never makes available.

They’ve already proclaimed themselves “done”, and in fact “ahead of schedule” somehow, so I wouldn’t hold my breath. :frowning:

Yeah. Outside a handful of skin colours, hair colours, eye colours, and like three hair styles, blood elf males got diddly. If they at least got the jewelry that females got, that’d be something. Not to mention Lor’themar himself has earrings.

Those prosthetics are amazing!

The prosthetic things are cool.

Four skin colors.
Three hair styles.
Two hair colors?
Three facial hair styles.
Two new ear styles.
Two new eye colors and some eye color combinations.

No scars.
No tattoos or war paint.
Not even any jewelry.

That’s character customizations like customizations, those are basic quality of life things that could probably be copy/pasted at least I would hope so but perhaps you are right, I suppose we shall see.

I will never get over that the jewelry for Blood Elves is only for females, it’s so one sided and outdated like as if males don’t wear jewelry.

As a butthurt belf, I agree velves should get black and white hair color options. Warm blonde, red, and brunette tones don’t make sense to me for velves but everything icy/cold tones make sense for the void theme in my opinion.

I also don’t want this dumb belves vs. velves war anymore. I’m still for elven independence from the factions :joy:

Male blood elf models are lacking in so many ways. Don’t know how they still haven’t managed to give them beards that look believable and not like Playmobil beards either.

Id really like some natural hair colors for Velfs. Even Black and white.

Crummy beards are the real remaing bastion of Horde/Alliance distinctiveness.

Mangy chinrats is the Horde aesthetic.

Oh, someone further up said something about belves being butthurt about this thread.

If hair colors get added, I’d personally prefer blood elves keep the warm colors (even their black has some warmer highlights, and most of their styles have red or blonde roots), and void elves lean into cooler blues and purples.

But that’s just me.

Honestly I wish I could roll a Horde void elf. They make such good Dark Rangers.

Heck, Entropic Embrace procs are easy to headcanon as Banshee form.

If Allied Races went how they should have Void Elves would be Horde and not Alliance.

Also creative and cool thinking.

I actually really dig the story of Horde Nightborne though, which is something we’d lack if they were Alliance.

Thank you!

I used to hate the idea of playing an Alliance Dark Ranger, but then a not entirely terrible (though not amazing either) headcanon came to me. A Dark Ranger is so disgusted by Sylvanas’s actions during BfA that she leaves and flies into the arms of Alleria, which explains why she’s a Dark Ranger, but also a void elf.

I liked the concept and the background of Nightborne but the actual implementation and player models not so much. Haha. :joy: :joy: :joy:

I love that and it sounds like it could be totally legitimate.

They look alright in their heritage armour, but yeah they need work.

Nightborne need a lot of work and I say that as someone that loves my Nightborne characters even though they look pretty terrible.

As for heritage armor I like it but Blizzard needs to change it so that chin piece to be part of the helm not part of the dress, I hate it and it bugs me that it’s still part of the chest piece somehow.
