A simple void elf request

They’re the only race to have lost much of themselves to the Alliance in a copy paste.

Even Night Elves didn’t lose that through Nightborne.

Its not some random rp. People are upset because they see their Horde race being stolen for a bunch of people who don’t even care about the race.

This absolutely made me chuckle and I thank you for that.

Its moot. It wouldn’t have changed a thing.

People would still be trying to turn them into high elves. My opinion would be unchanged. So would most others.

I will say that I suspect this is true.

Though I still wouldn’t want it myself.

I see where you are going with that and in principle I don’t have much issue with it.

Except one thing.

Why would they all follow Alleria into the Void if Xe’ra was so adamantly against it? They’d have gone more the route of Lightforged most likely not following Alleria blindly into an unknown that is reviled by their faction. (The Lightforged I mean)

Off the mark there, it is the lore of them. People wanted them to be from the HE from alliance, not from the BE. Them lacking customization of regular elves is not it.

Agreed.

Disagree.

Should had been i agree.

Anyways, what is done is done. I do not think more regular customization would be the right path for VE now. Perhaps use that energy for something obtainable perhaps? Like half elves…

No? That’s pretty ridiculous actually. Especially at the point we’re at right now. They already gave them the Eyes and skin colors. Getting normal hair options and some other standard customization for Void Elves is more likely than getting a separate Half Elf or High Elf race. I’m sorry but that’s just a fact. Especially knowing the way blizz handles these types of things.

I don’t have a problem with people requesting a separate Half-Elf race but i don’t see them doing that when they would probably just roll that customization into Void Elves.

The way things are going, no ones likely to get anything.

Blizzard isn’t exactly chomping at the bit to add more customization.

(Fenelon by the way)

what is ridiculous is requesting 2 races to look so identical that it might as well be made into a single neutral race with no differences on either side, and taking a feature from the opposing faction just because of you simping HE, at least half elves as an idea would mean they can make a new skeleton/model/voice over and new art instead if being a copy paste that you clearly want.

If your talking about ear options, while it is fine that people is to rp short eared elves as half elves, I personally don’t see it as a feasible method, since they lack too many features of the other half of the race to be a true half elf.

I also do not recall blizz announcing the short eared elves as half elves.

I mean there’s no rush (for void elves), I’m expecting other races to get new options first and just that will take awhile -.-
I guess blizz could easily just toss in ear length for now (even though it makes them look like weird goblin offspecies IMO :P)

Alittle off topic, but is it me or does the VE heritage wings mixed with kyrian back halo look like a small, weak void portal?

I wonder… What color of that should I choose?

I love those ear lengths. I’d kill for those options for my Void Elf, I could finally roleplay my main as the Void Half Elf he’s supposed to be.

Theres no rush for anyone.

Blizzard said effectively that they’re good with what they’ve done.

They only said they’d look into more after SLs because they don’t like to straight up say no.

Eh doesn’t matter anyways.

Whatever matches your mog I guess.

Nightborne :eye::lips::eye::hocho:

Too late. It’s already happened. This last holdout on hair styles and colors is meaningless now that they have the skin tones and eye colors. And again, if you give them human or night elf hair styles it’s making them different from Blood Elves.

So what is blizz more likely to do? Add yet another Thalassian Elf race to the Alliance? THAT is ridiculous. Why would they had ANOTHER human skintone/blue eyed Elf to the Alliance when that now already exists in Void Elves? It’s ridiculous to think they will do that rather than just adding the hair options to Void Elves.

The can of worms on that has already been opened.

That’s your opinion, it’s not a fact. It’s not meaningless to me and as you can see to many others.

Actually no it hasn’t good try though.

No it is not. There needs to be some torm of void mutation otherwise why not just outright delete VE? Oh yeah… that is what you wanted since day one.

A blonde VE us still gonna look like a BE, no matter how you try to excuse it. And no, VE should not have any natural hair color or shapes.

One, half elves us not full thalassians, 2 if made as a core race, it would have it’s skeleton. It is also more lore friendly then a HE that needs mana to survive attacking the faction that literally controls their source of mana.

Asking to take over VE fir discount HE, ignoring a the requests and suggestions to not to and offers of work around is beyond ridiculous. Like literally all you care about is shoving it up to anyone that wants VE and BE to be diverse, it feels like that is your true goal.

Core races traditionally gets their own model/skeleton, and even if they are a AR, there us allot they can do other then copy the Model again, which is what you seem to want, an exact replica of BE.

Not really, but keep trollin.

stop

responding

You’re giving me an aneurysm! :sob:

Real talk, sectioning if fine, but separating a post 8 times seems a little excessive imo, not trying to be rude/mean or police your behavior I swear. This applies for everyone (obviously I’m not the forum police, so you do you I guess)
Am I the only one that gets deeply confused with this style of responding? It makes the original context horribly misleading.

Maybe it’s just a me thing, and in that case I apologize for making a fuss.

No.

10 char.

That’s more like it! <3

Then

don’t tell people

not to

post a specific way.

Theres nothing wrong with you personally having an issue with it. Sometimes it can be abused for sure.

The drop downs would fairly quickly allow for reference. So its not really something that needs to be said.

Personally for me, while I think sometimes it is excessive, its not immensely hard to just pop down the dropdown and see what they’re talking about.

If they cause confusion its on them.

Fair enough, I’m just interested in what he has to say, it just sucks when I have to have a seizure every time I wana read what’s being said haha. (obviously I’m exaggerating) And this has nothing to do with my disagreeing with hair color talk.

If I’m the only one affected then I apologize

No thats fair.

If that how it is for you then thats how it is.

My only complaint was the telling him not to post that way. Thats where I draw a line I guess.

Folk should be able to post their opinions, and however they need to to get it across, without being messed with…

If that makes any sense.

Of course, we’ll get back to that later. :stuck_out_tongue:

I personally don’t think you need to apologize.
