A simple void elf request

About as many times as he uses passive aggressive emojis unironically and responds to himself with alts. Several but not enough. :nail_care::kissing_heart:

For me it’s a little more difficult because most of my characters are in the same guild and…

Oh uh…

Yeah! You’ll never find out who I am, but Midare is absolutely right! And that new mog she’s wearing? It’s great!

You assume I’m not genuine about what I want to see for void elves, so why should anyone else treat you better?

To play devil’s advocate, looking at her achievements. She hasn’t played a single bit of shadowlands so she’s probably telling the truth from what I can see.

Except she’s an anti-belffer so I have my doubts.

Ah yes, yet another “Void Elves were a mistake” person.

Goodie.

For what they are supposed to be they are fine, for what people have tried and continue to try to turn them into I can see why some feel that way.

I just want more of what they actually are. Void Elves are awesome. High Elves I can understand the draw to but that is not what we are.

Not anymore.

It´s more about the broad visual look of the models. Right now the only difference between the Belf and the Velf model is, pathetically so, the hair. Nothing else. Fair skins and Pûrple/ Blue eyes made the models overlap, something not even Mag´har Orcs managed in regards to their “parent” model race.

I´d say if devs DO cross this limit and basically make possible for Velves to look like Belves, then they will have to give something extremely nice and extremely functional to Belves -something exclusive considering the broad visual exclusivity of Belves would be lost- as a compensation (and no, niche stuff like Dark Ranger or “Lightforged” things are NOT broad. They don´t make sense for most Belf class combos).

I think this is why the devs didn´t cross that line… it would had been more work for them.

That’s okay just read mine, they’re the best ones.

I think the only mistake is the fact that they’re blood elves who swapped to the alliance, which is what most people didn’t want.

Other than that their story is just kinda lackluster.

Aesthetically they’re a beautiful race.

Blood Elves are for some reason the most virulently anti-Alliance race in the Horde and I find that to be really funny

Must be a manifestation of how elves are insecure about the unstoppable rise of Man

What’s your thoughts on Void Elves?

They’re smart enough to see where the wind is blowing

Oh, I was wondering what you thought about their playerbase compared to Blood Elves or how they use Void which Alliance tend to generally oppose.

I would largely agree with that actually. Them being Blood Elves from the start (at least the first batch of them) is what was one of the more ridiculous things about them. And I don’t think the Void theme is necessarily what annoys people when it comes to the Elves but the lack of normal customizations. With the Void could come a lot of cool Cosmic style customizations. From tattoos to other options that would fit their theme. If from the start they had access to normal skin/eyes as well as hair styles/colors i think it largely would have ended the High Elf issue.

And they SHOULD have been Alliance HIGH ELVES from the start. Not Blood Elves. There could have been Blood Elves who joined up with them but the founding group should have been High Elves. It could have been done a few ways, but my idea has always been they could have been High Elves that were part of the Alliance’s Beyond the Dark Portal campaign. They would have escaped with Turalyon & Alleria and joined up with the Army of the Light. Eventually following Alleria’s footsteps into the Void.

That would have gave them a decent bit of backstory. Being Alliance High Elves who were fighting the Legion or something out in the Nether for 1000 years. And we could have interacted with them on Argus.
