A simple void elf request

Void elves were a huge mistake. The whole concept is absolutely ridiculous. It’s silly that there would be enough of them to make up a player race. It’s silly that the alliance would take them in.

It was a hamfisted way to give Alliance blood elves that makes no one happy.

I agree, although I wouldn’t say Void Elves as a race was a mistake - it was the way they were introduced, as Thormus previously explained pretty well.

he explained other things, but the only thing I agree upon was what they did with the introduction. But honestly it does have it’s charms.

i wouldn’t overall say they were a mistake (The Void theme can be interesting to an extent) but i agree with a lot of what you’re saying. Even though it’s slowly being corrected (at least cosmetic wise) it was the most backwards way to introduce a High Elf race. To the point that the AU time traveling Mag’har Orcs arguably make more sense which is kinda funny. THEY had more of a backstory for existing and joining the Horde than the foundational Void Elves did.

I don’t think void elves was intended to be a high elf race other then mutated defected blood elves, which in this case would mean a faction of blood elves joined the alliance, and high elves is still not playable.

The one that has been playable since 2006?

Imagine if they did the same with High Elves - we go to AU Azeroth and recruit AU High Elves as an Alliance allied race :joy:

Not sure if I would’ve liked that, though - I like MU Azeroth High Elves because of their exile/vegan theme

Yeah that would be goofy as heck lol. I like the MU High Elf groups as well. The only other potential “AU” version of an Allied Race i could accept would be the Draenor Ogres. Simply because of their Roman/Gladiator theme. Aside from that though i don’t really want to see anymore of that.

I guess the one other exception would be Saberon. But some of them came through with the Mag’hars and ran off into the Barrens. So they’re already here to an extent i guess.

Regardless of where they come from, ogres should only be Horde.

If we get more AU, it should be light bound orcs! :upside_down_face:

Alliance doesn’t need to take another copy of a Horde race. :rage: :rage: :rage:

oh good. The horde don’t need another human race.

We have one race that’s Human like and that’s Blood Elves, last time I checked the swap of Void Elves taking from Blood Elves is nowhere near fair to Nightborne from Night Elves so stay in your lane.

not even close to what I am referring too lmao. But ok.

I really dislike the void elf voice. Apparently exposure to the void makes you have a british accent. Also, if you are a warrior or melee dps that does a lot of yelling, the velf voice just grates on my nerves.

Not only appearance transmogs, but it would be nice to pick a voice too. i.e. blood elf voice instead of the velf one.

hmmm? Odd I did not notice a change if accent from VE vs BE, just VE tends to be more subtle when they talk and BE tends to be louder.

Ogre isn’t the same as Human it’s a giant and it’s not being taken from Alliance side if it’s ever added because Alliance has nothing to do with Ogres at all, you posted you want Orcs for Alliance and that’s a Horde race, thus my original point stands.
