personally, i don’t even get why the vote to kick Gives a deserter debuff, first and foremost the kicked player didn’t desert so, uh, yeah thats wrong right off the bat. Secondly, it really only punishes legitimate players and not problem players, because like the others in this thread say the problem players will just swap to a new alt and continue to be a problem.

They’re abusing one system in defense that another system is not being abused. They are lying and slandering to further their unscrupulous aims.
I always forget how much of a cesspool the forums are.
It’s crazy to me that they give a GM-type power to players.
The player has no agency over the deserter debuff.
You not realizing you did it, doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. There was a thread about the same old topic with another OP claiming someone abused a system that cannot, in Blizzard’s opinion, be abused.
That thread was locked and this one popped up right around the same time. That’s what makes it spam. It has nothing to do with ‘who’ created it nor is it an attack on you.
It’s a silly topic that 4 people have had to post non-stop to try and make it look like a huge deal.
I disagree. It’s a system that’s working as intended and I personally don’t feel it should be changed.

Reason why there is a deserter associated with the vote-kick because of people abusing the queuing system in order to get around the deserter buff everytime they got a dungeon they didn’t like.
wasn’t that thread locked because a bunch of people in it started talking about completely unrelated stuff, as well as people slinging insults back and forth at each other, not because the thread itself was “problematic”?

yeah…just remove the timeout entirely. its not really punishing the problematic players who will just hop on alts and ride out the timer and troll another group inthe meantime.
it only affects the innocent players who were being legit and got kicked for no fault of their own
I’ve had them on my ignore for at least a year or so. I have no idea of the content they posted, but knowing their past posts, it is a bunch of better-than-thou nonsense that I am sure I could live w/o.
This still doesn’t stop those same exact problematic people from just loading up another alt and doing the same thing anyways though.

yes…its still there locked…with a few posters talking about vacations instead of the topic.
the timeout had its origins that made sense at the time.
I got $100 that says the problem it created was as bad as the problem it was meant to fix.
You’re right. It is far from perfect, but it is the better solution we have today. Thing is, no matter what happens, people will always find a way around everything. No system is perfect. But somethings are worse off than the current system we do have.
Again if many people are independently posting similar threads, because they each had the idea “this system is bad” that is not spam, that is feedback. That is a trend. That is many people believing the same thing.
You calling other people’s opinion “spam” is blatantly disrespectful and against the rules. We are supposed to be civil on these forums. You can report me all you want, I’ve been acting in good faith this entire time.
Way more than 4 people have agreed, your math doesn’t add up. You should just ignore this thread and move on with your life if it bothers you so much.

in this context…kicking someone with malice and spite for laughs and not anything they did themselves to warrant it.
And how would Blizzard determine this to be the motive for the removal? People that would do this aren’t monologuing super-villains, they’re likely dead silent.
Sure, but they still incur the cooldown for the alt they needed or wanted progress on, which discourages the behavior.
Poka-yoking is minimizing, not eliminating human error.
every now and then I check hidden posts to see if we can remain cordial or not. MOST of the time they make me regret it within a post or two.
problem is you can ignore but they’ll just keep derailing even if youre not interacting yourself, to get the thread locked or 404ed…seen in dozens if not hundreds of times at this point.

It isn’t against you personally. And there were actually three that were locked and deleted yesterday prior to this one.
It isn’t because YOU did it. No one is claiming you did it on purpose either. It’s simply another topic that was never once constructive and they never are.
