I think we’ve said all we need to say to each other, yet again…you have a nice day.
I have a feeling the real underlying issue is that wow has a lot of inactive subs. Meaning, I know a few people who still pay for wow but are not logging in much. Or if they do, they aren’t doing much group content.
Tanking can be intimidating for people, and the shortage of tanks is what is causing a lot of people to feel burnt out by the group finder
Also it only takes one “MVP” to shut down a post, and it appears we have one acting maliciously.
Their adding follower dungeons and delves certainly helped with the desire to do instanced content but not have to wait in queue for who knows how long and deal with who knows what drama, lol.
Im very burned out because I went nuts end of DF and rolled way too many new alts after running too many characters in DF to begin with. lol.
Once Im over it i’ll be running delves a lot. Great to have the ability to do the content without having to rely on other players behaving themselves.
Tanking really just bored me to death, personally. Healing is more my speed. Lots to do if youre keeping a team topped off while seeing if you can actually beat a couple DPS players on Details, lol. Loved that part of my game. Sucked when players had to make me dread doing it over all the nonsense vote kicking other players and that hate crap in the reason box. Just ruined the entire spirit of team play for me.
Its nothing new with that one.
To be clear, despite Lio’s despise of me and my correcting their often nonsense posts (as examples in this thread), while they don’t like me, I have zero moderation power. Another false truth from Lio.
I can’t close threads not force any sort of moderation. That’s just another false post to make them some sort of victim in their own story.
take note that I NEVER said anything about this…yet someone is falsely accusing me of it. Same story, different day.
I would like to know why this publication was flagged?
I would like to remind everyone that all of this was in response to a literal joke.
Just dont be bad and you wont get vote kicked. Its as easy as pushing buttons on a keyboard.
but its erroneous to think a new player might not be in there, and there’s nothning gained from denying ppl the abilty to loot or catch up if they die.
I think queueing with a group if you wanna play like that should be the norm.
Like…I can’t even. You literally agreed.
So silly. You should totally pretend to put me on ignore again. It’s almost embarrassing that you do this.
In any event, this thread is going places. I’m sure the system will totally be changed to allow the tank and healer griefing like the system used to allow.
Where was the joke? If it was supposed to be funny, it fell flat.
What a strange stance for somebody with the “MVP” stance to take. You’re literally acting like a forum bully.
How exactly is it a violation of the rules? This is in the GENERAL DISCUSSION portion of the forums. Just because a topic has been talked about before, I don’t see anything in the rules where it can’t be talked about again? Nor does it say in the rules that you have to necro old threads.
This topic was presented in good faith with a perceived problem and solution. There has been good discussions back and forth in it between people who both agree and disagree with the OP. You’re the only one here so far detracting from the conversation.
While I agree with this aspect, it does not mean that there are not improvements that can be implemented. As an example, the OP IMHO had a great idea about “soft kicks options” giving players more options as to why they are kicking somebody, and softening the debuff.
We all know how the system works, this was a post about how to possibly improve the system.
Many systems have been in play for a long time that “worked” but again, that does not mean improvements can’t be made. And again… this is coming from somebody who DISAGREES with the OP on most of their ideas. That does not mean that the conversation should be shut down…
Not always true. The OP even said they were not the one who was kicked, and they’ve not been kicked. So your comment here is moot.
Again, you’re acting like a bully with this comment. I truly hope that blizzard sees how you treat the community and thinks about the possible removal of your MVP status, or at the very least talk to you/coach you on how you should talk to and treat the community at large.
I’m not mad… I’m just disappointed.
youre right…you cant even…lol
now we’re done…go harass someone else.
Simple. A thread with the exact same topic had just been closed and this one was opened. That’s a violation of the rules. Reopening a locked thread.
I think they have me confused with someone else lol. I usually post about M+, if I have ever posted about the vote kick system before it was ages ago and I do not remember
would be nice to have a check box for that one so players who dont have any patience for new players wouldnt be grouped with them ASSUMING new players would actually check the box…OR…the game could decide that based on how many dungeons we’ve run.
Say if our account shows less than 100 dungeons then we wouldnt get grouped with anyone who checked the No Patience box…maybe something like that.
The thread was derailed and that’s why it was closed. This thread came from a completely different stance AND had new points and ideas on how to improve the system. A conversation IMHO worth having.
Now not only are you acting like a bully on the forums, you’re using disingenuous arguments to try and make it look like you’re in the right here… but you’re not.
If this thread gets shut down, it’s because YOU have derailed it. I suggest to the rest of the people here having a civil and open discussion to simply ignore Perl going forward, they are bringing nothing constructive to this conversation.
I guess the other advantage of being able to mark one’s self with an intended playstyle is that then the vote kick system would be more-likely utilized in good faith.
For example, if someone selects the “I want to do fast runs” option but is unskilled then their vote kick would be very understandable. Conversely the “I am learning” people will rarely kick someone for failing in good faith
agreed on all points made.
Best way to provide MVP feedback is as follows:
