A reminder to Nelf Fans

There’s an archeology thing you can dig up that shows priest/druid gender swaps were a thing. They may have started out separated by gender, but the night elves started taking an egalitarian approach long before WoW.

It’s almost like the people that follow/followed Saurfang are… hypocrites… weird.

How is that possible when he admitted he’d never known honor and that the Horde was a broken system in The Negotiation cinematic? He never claimed to have all the answers, he just knew what Sylvanas was doing was wrong, and he was the one who took her down in the end to reclaim his honor, not because he thought of himself as honorable in the first place. He was the one who helped the Night Elves get their vengeance more than any other character has so far. Blizzard’s writing is to blame for this but it’s true.

Those who blame the members Horde for the wrongdoings of their Warchief don’t know how the faction operates - The Warchief’s rule is law and the armies are his/her weapons. Don’t blame the sword for what the warrior uses it for. Obviously this isn’t a good system and needs to change because as we’ve seen it can be easily abused but that’s how it is in the lore.

Wisdom speaks here!

An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.

Just be grateful we didn’t burn down all of Darkshore and Ashenvale too, or have it all deforested by now. Hug your remaining loved ones and tough it out.

Do you still like Shandris now that she’s being painted as the reasonable one because she’s following the 7th and Anduin?

Yet violence is the answer.

Not having a backbone means everyone just walks all over you. Small wonder this cycle keeps repeating.

honestly blizzard is kind of schizophrenic with Shandris. At first she is all about getting revenge for teldrassil and now in 8.2.5 she suddenly forgot about it.

Really interesting how years before any human poster who had a problem with the Horde committing atrocities on their faction and people was never treated with near this much sympathy and thoughtfulness.

Southshore blighted?
It’s hilarious.
Theramore bombed?
Remember Camp Taurajo!
Orcs invading your continent and slaughtering your people since the IP’s inception?
“Lol get over it.”
“You should have let the Orcs go free instead of imprisoning them in concentration camps, you fascist!”

But when the elves get it?
Oh my, the sympathy and tears just flow out like a river. Poor elves. :evergreen_tree:

It wouldn’t have been possible lol. The vast majority of Germanys forces were sent to the east. The Eastern front was the main and decisive front, it was the front which was at the heart of Germanys plans.

While the US/UK/France, etc are not beyond reproach, neither was the USSR. Reality defies fantasy concepts of good/evil, easily assigned blame, and “justified genocides”. It’s more complicated and nuanced than any artificially constructed tale could ever be.

Because he was using ‘honor’ as a catalyst to move everyone where he wanted them to go and do everything he wanted them to do. ‘Honor’ was the reason and motive for Baine/Saurfang and their associates to rebel.

He admitted to never having honor/not knowing what it was, so he had nothing to ‘reclaim’. Sylvanas destroyed Alliance stuff. If Saurfang would’ve sucked up his, apparently ignorant, notion of ‘honor’ we would’ve never burned down the tree in the first place.

How? Did he give himself over to Tyrande for burning down Teldrassil? I didn’t see any Night Elves in the new cinematic. Hell, he was the one who planned out most of TWoT.

No, people who try to pin everything on the WC don’t know how factions operate. Who planned WoT? Saurfang. Who paid you to kill a bunch of Night Elves in Ashenvale with poison? Saurfang. What did Saurfang say when Tel was burning? Not, “Oh, that’s so wrong!” No, he said, “They’ll come for us now, all of them!” That’s not only cowardly, it shows he did not give a flying flock about all the people he helped kill. He’s the same dude who walked on that Path of Glory, it’s just now he’s too much a coward to admit it. He helped Sylvanas every step of the way up until he realized she didn’t operate by the same values he did, he didn’t give a damn about what she was doing, he gave a damn about how she was doing it.

Threads like these make me wish Blizzard had never burnt down Teldrassil.

Mainly because of the incessant whining from night elf fans, whining you never heard from the Draenei fans, which is incredible especially considering they arguably got it worse.

We get it. You’re upset with the story. Blizzard isn’t going to give you a cinematic/storyline where Tyrande beheads Sylvanas, then the entirety of the Horde one after the other and Malfurion restores Teldrassil with a flick of the wrist while t-bagging Nathanos.

If over half the threads in this forum continue being Forsaken/Night elf fan QQ threads for much longer, I may just take another hiatus.

Which is the problem. We got screwed in a way we can never get proper retribution for. It was a terrible idea and never should have happened so now we’re left forever being angry at how we were treated.

Oh yes, a event that happened off screen is the same as one that was the opening scene that set the stage of an expansion.

Teldrassil is a monument to writer hubris. They bit off way more than they could chew to fail on other story points.

Don’t let the door hit you. One less MHP galavanting from one thread to the next acting like they’re better than everyone else won’t be missed.

That is called ‘vengeance’

You first define vengeance, say that it is not vengeance, and then go on to say that it is logical and right.

I am going to go ahead and say that you are obsessed with vengeance. And you don’t even have much of a leg to stand on.

Draenei been through way worse from the orcs and the legion, and you don’t see them complaining

Occupation of Teldrassil and liberation of Teldrassil would have been much more rewarding, and easier to write themselves out of to be honest.

Yes, but then we wouldn’t have gotten so many Sadfang cinematics.
