A possible compromise to RDF from an anti-RDF perspective

Right, which is why I will argue the teleport from RDF is necessary for old world content. I don’t see it as necessary in TBC/Wrath due to how close they all are, especially with flying mounts. But I do argue RDF is necessary.

I think you’re quoting the wrong person. My point was that arguing against RDF because of the teleport while defending warlock summons/stones is hypocritical.

You have to remember that this is ultimately a game, and while we went through two expansions where you got your style of play, we are now going into an expansion where we should get ours - but it’s not happening. Your style of play still exists with RDF.

I might be

Which is why I tried proposing a compromise… which I was not even thinking about last week. I mean I’m already doing more than Blizz…

This is a salient point.

because you make it be that or other that do that, it’s an antisocial choice which is fine if that’s your thing. Doesn’t help in this mmorpg currently.

Ungrateful i guess?

I do agree here as an anti full on introduction of RDF as was … make RDF only applicable to normal dungeons and nothing else … seems to solve most of the issues. Problem is people are little kids stomping their feet cuz although they could mostly get what they want they will refute it no matter what, at the end of the day ya know what i did with my kids when they did that ? They didnt get it at all … seems different but familiar ?

Make friends who make alts.

We’ll in this case I’m gonna say your perceived increased convenience isn’t worth the drawbacks.

Having RDF announced to be put back in is the first step. After that, we can talk about compromise. Personally I wouldn’t want RDF as it is in game either, but I do want it in game.

And I will repeat that you are grossly overstating the drawbacks.

What do you want me to do, pretend there’s a flak cannon in the air and bob and weave? You want me to manually pilot the same path above the world?

I’ll say thanks, but I don’t take it as some mystical and amazing social experience where I just met my best friend.

I cant make an announcement :frowning: I’m just having a discussion around it. I’m not working at Blizzard, as you know I’m sure

I’m not talking about like you need to make the announcement. That’s what players are fighting for, for Blizzard to acknowledge it and announce it.

Unite the sides and take that to them, thats how you do things not the other way around.

There are plenty of pro-RDF people who want it in without any compromise, and some anti-RDF people who want it out no matter what.

Wait so you are saying people are a classic system.

Everyone stop! When we ruin the game we hurt the people that play this game. We must stop before we erase ourselves from existiance!

I think Ulduar is the ideal time for it. Then there’s always a previous tier available, so the rewards don’t need to be tweaked.

In this case it seems more like cutting off your nose to spite your face. Longevity of wrath classic requires people being engaged at all levels. Other wise you just end up with a population of jaded, cynical, possibly toxic level 80s raid logging

Then fair enough, should have said that the first time so it didn’t appear the other way.

Not feeling like it’s particularly engaging or amazingly social doesn’t mean I’m not polite.

We’ve been down this road before and your opinion doesn’t sway my evidence based position.
