A plea to Blizzard for regular flying in Dragonflight

yep…absolutely…least my head wouldn’t scream in pain after a cple mins

I for 1…would NEVER want that speed…
slower flying = no headaches, no searing pain thru my eyes

and for some of us…it’s NOT a SKILL issue…thank you very much. stop being so one sided, closed minded, & rude. how about think about how it actually effects some people…for REAL.

part of the reason a good number of us stay out of your dungeons/raids…too much flashy crap goin on…

so…keep it, and enjoy…for many of us, faster is NOT better, and really does NOTHING for our enjoyment.

not everyone, is you, and not everyone has the same abilities as you. I learned it, got a few ach in it, but, it still gives me headaches, so I have to do it in very very short spurts, which does what? Oh yeah…makes me log out, less game/fun time for me

lol…you could NOT be more wrong if you tried. apparently everyone who doesn’t just fawn & feint over DR is a bot? lol…now that’s just stinkin funny.
are there bots in game? Oh yes, seen’em…but it looks more like someone with 5 accts, having them all follow the main, pickin herbs/mimicking the main to me. I dunno how they do it…or…why even, I can only afford to pay for my ONE acct. each month, lol…

I hadn’t considered knocking off enemies. Though when taking off, pressing spacebar twice (or “2”) seems to be the way to go. Point your camera up, use “2” maybe two or three times and you’re flying at warp speed and climbing like crazy.

There’s seven billion places to land a dragon that has no mobs around, so the “you can hover” excuse is bs.

You can farm while mounted with dragonflight n riding, thereby zipping around twices as fast, negating the “muh druid bots” bs.

I don’t know why people care so much about normal flying when it’s being released anyway and their excuses for it being released earlier hold no water.

The excuses for withholding it no longer hold water, either.

The worst players could do to this game now with old flight is opt-out of the shiny, new thing when it’s shiny and new.

Distance wise…yea dragonriding is far better once you get the uogrades…vertical flying kinda sucky compared to old…but at the cost of 3x faster distance i never wanna go back to old flying :joy:

There already are alternatives to Dragonriding:

  1. Take a flight path to the closest hub, mount up, and run wherever you need to go

  2. Git gud

What I see is all other flying mounts are obsolete. You will not be able to fly with Invisible in DF just as a land mount. Unless you chill out in Org or stormy.

I’m about ready to call it quits, but I really don’t want to. This expansion has so much I want and so much for me to do , but I’m in the same boat as the OP, I can’t take dragon riding, it gives he a huge headache, makes me queasy and moves way too fast to control. All that white crap streaming at my eyes and the screen blur from turning with the mouse makes me barely touch it.

Please Blizzard give us the choice be be able to use dragon riding for those that love it and normal flying for those that don’t. I really really don’t want to sit this expansion out

I’d just like the ability to hover while dragon riding, even if limited.

You’ll get your flying during the second patch like every other expansion. Until then, enjoy being able to “fly” early instead of ground mounts.

Travel is easier than it’s ever been at the start of an expac and I still see all these complaints…

honestly i dont see why not.

dragonriding is so superior to normal flying that it wouldnt matter. if ppl wanna gimp themselves with sub-par flying i dont see a problem with it.

What is the purpose of this comment? Because if its to rag on dragon riding, hate to break it to you, but you cant get off the ground without hitting buttons with normal flying. Really cant do anything without hitting buttons. So respectfully, i suggest not using the arguement “i have to hit buttons” while playing a video game. Buttons are necessary

Regular flying should only work in zones where the content is no longer relevant for gathering. I’m glad the bots can no longer abuse sky swimming

Well if you read mine all the way, you would understand that i was asking for the purpose of the comment. That would imply that im too lazy to travel through the few past messages to get the context. Which is exactly why i stated what i did. If the comment you made wasnt to rag on dragon riding, then everything else i said was unimportant and you could have picked that up from context

At least give us an option to hover,so when your collecting ore,herbs ect its not that much of a hassle

I feel ya I started in 2005 and dragonriding is a bit different from regular flying which would be nice to be able to do, I get the reasoning but hurry up and add the regular flying Blizzzzz…
