A plea to Blizzard for regular flying in Dragonflight

Yes. I’m sure blizzard is eager to remove DRAGONFLIGHT from the expansion called DRAGONFLIGHT. it’s not like, yknow, the whole premise behind the expansion or anything.

But it sure was useless without collecting all those glyphs though wasn’t it. People want to get on a mount to get from point A to B, they don’t want to have to farm or put up with managing a glider to get around a zone.

I am not a fan of dragonflying. I think both that and regular flying should be in the game like they planned. I also don’t think they should wait 6-9 months to put it in.

I have all the glyphs and no one helped me get them and I still want regular flight. If you don’t believe me look at my achievements. I promise you there will be on achievement per zone. I don’t want dragon riding taken away from those that want it. I just want the slower method of travel.

No one is asking for dragon riding to be removed. Except a few people but almost everyone who likes dragon riding is asking for the 310 flight to be removed.

Dragonriding is 100% superior. No question. They can add in old flying but im sorry Dragonriding is not a novelty, its far faster and more fun

It can stay. But i want dragonriding baseline across all content. Its far superior but i see no harm in leaving tradition flying in

I said in a post last night they should add dragon riding to the older zones for those that want to have it there. I would love to discover how long it would take someone (not me) to dragon ride from Booty Bay to Silvermoon City. (if that instance portal to the Ghostlands wasn’t in Eastern Plaguelands.)

Dragon riding is fun and i really like it but i do hope they add both or give dragon riding a hover ability or something where you can stay up in the sky without going anywhere. I think both are needed depending on situation but i can see them keeping the regular riding behind the pathfinder achievement.

How does it give you a headache? Literally just use all your vigor on th upwards flap and point slightly down to retain speed and youll have all your vigor back before you even get 10 ft lower. And then just repeat. I dont know how this can cause problems for anyone being the zones are so large

There are an absolute ton of towers around the dragon isles that serve this exact purpose. Most were landmarks for the glyphs but ive flown up to one and afkd more than a few times

The speed blur. My eyes can’t focus that quickly. That’s the main reason I don’t do dungeons or raid without a group of friends. My reaction time truly sucks. My optic nerve is damaged and there is no fix for that. Just give me 310 flight and I will wave as you zoom by.

Once again i ask.
How can someone get on here and complain, dislike, can’t handle, or simply physically cannot use the Dragon"Riding" (As some smug corrected me before)

Get the response:
“You’re wrong”

My only hopes is that you “regular” fly on corpse runs, so hopefully just a matter of time.

No, people would continue to use dragon riding because it’s 3x faster than regular flying. People don’t realize how massive Dragon Isles is and how long it would take them to get places with normal flying. The OPs request for accessibility is interesting, but in general the complaints about dragon riding are just silly.

And even for the OP I’d imagine they would get used to it after a while once they collect the glyphs. Dragon flying is no more disorienting than many other mechanics in the game, you just need to be willing to learn. You can ride as slow or fast as you want and you’ll still get to places more quickly than you would through regular flying.

The only thing I don’t like about dragon riding is the over the top effect where they change your cameras FOV to try to convince you that you’re going really fast.

It feels like a cheap parlor trick when pressing 1 for the speed burst when already traveling at the faster speed with the blue wind effect.

At that speed the camera does its wobbly thing and I’m not convinced it actually makes you go any faster.

Is there a way to turn of the wobbly FOV effect off?

As an aside, the move where you do a twirl for 3 vigor is kind of pointless, right? It doesn’t seem to do anything different then pressing 1 for the regular speed boost, but it costs 3x as much?

Other than this, I do like Dragonriding quite a bit.

How do you play the game itself if dragonriding is what makes your brain work the most? Once u have full vigor it is very simple and fast. Very fluid. Ide say normal fighting mechanics against PvM are harder to do than the new in game flying mechanic.

The twirl is better for initial takeoff. Also has the ability to knock enemies off mount. Other than that while in normal flight i use the regular speed boost that costs 1 vigor.

Normal flying is being released regardless of your bad arguments. Normal flying is not in any way OP.

Druids are inferior to dragon riding gathering while mounted.
