I have been playing World of Warcraft since 2007 just as BC came out. I love WoW! I have never complained online about it because even though there are some annoying things about it, it is still MY game. But I feel I need to say something about Dragonriding. I am getting old and a little blind and my brain certainly doesn’t work the way it did when Burning Crusade came out. I cannot use the Dragonriding because I end up so frustrated and with such a headache from trying to follow what is happening on the screen that I have almost rage quit a few times, but I love WoW so much, I just can’t. Please. Please. PLEASE put regular flying in Dragonflight as soon as you can. I know it doesn’t usually come out until several updates after the expansion comes out, but as you HAVE to fly for some of these quests, I hope it comes out sooner. For now, I’m just going to hang out in older expansions until I CAN fly in Dragonflight. I know I’m in the minority here, so I’ll keep collecting and playing, but I hope you take the minority into account and put it in sooner than you normally would. Thank you for coming to my TED talk. 
And I hope not, because the old flying is very overpower with the direct control it has. It would bring back druid farm bots, It would hurt the market.
It would force players to use both mounts. One for getting to point a and b the other to fly to gather once you in the area.
We only need one flying system, and you can go at a slower speed if you wanted with dragon riding.
I’d be fine for both to coexist. I hope they add dragon riding to the old world. Keep regular flying too.
I hope so too. I don’t think you are in the minority I just think there are a few very vocal pro dragon flight players who are hostile to those who want both types of flying.
Using the excuse that regular flying would bring back bots is an extreme measure to try and ensure regular flying isn’t a thing anymore.
If dragon flying is the only way a billion dollar company can control bots than they need better leadership.
It will return in a later patch Ion said in a interview with Preach! They just want ppl to learn and enjoy dragonflying atm!

Keep dragonriding
Scrap the regular flying.
Dragonriding is the best, its realistic, its fun.
Wow, it’s almost like you use the speedster to travel places fast, and the hovercraft to precisely navigate within a specific area.
I wonder if you have been even playing the game sometime. Bots aren’t stopped by having no flying. I have seen bots flying when no one else could. There are other factors preventing bots this expansion so far.

Which is absolutely true. TBC Flight takes less overall effort than dragonriding, and once the luster fades from the mechanic people will just want to get from A to B without complication.
It’s fine if both coexist in my mind. However, I think the tradeoff should be that regular flight remains slow in comparison to dragon riding. Dragon riding’s various systems in place means it should still be “superior” in most regards.
who’s fear? in 6 months everyone will be used to using dragonflying - that will be the path of least resistance for some people.
And TBC Flight will be simpler still. Dragonriding still requires effort, whereas TBC Flight does not. Dragonriding’s sole benefit is speed.
Dragonflying doesn’t require effort even for me right now. I do it without even thinking.
I agree have both dragon riding while can be fun will never replace my flight form.
That’s nice, but it does still require effort. You still have to aim, hit buttons, all in a sequence. No matter how simple that sequence gets, it will not be as simple as Mount → Arrive.
I support this thread . I’m fine with both quit punishing people who like regular flying more. It’s time to release regular flying now.
as someone that gets migraines from dragonriding (and has to mute the game because the sounds coming out of the mounts is worse than nails on a chalkboard), the minute they give me normal flight, i’ll never touch dragonriding again. Its not fun. its not POSSIBLE for it to be fun for me. Not everything needs a gorram minigame to just move around. Old flight was PERFECT.
Blizz just likes being sadistic with anything new, trying to “force” people to engage with something. Whether or not its fun to them. This is no different. I’m fine with it existing. but a LOT of the questing and gathering in DF require it. which has already burned me out of the game for the most part within the first two weeks of launch.
For getting most of the way across a zone quickly for a rare? its great. For farming, for quick questing (aka, items on the ground scattered around, killing specific mobs scattered around, etc), old flying is, IMHO, orders of magnitude better.
It probably doesn’t help that I actively want to never see any of the 4 new mounts again, as I don’t think any of them even look “acceptable”, let alone decent. Even with the customization.
you have to direct yourself flying as well - you just have been so conditioned to use it it isn’t conscious. Just like dragonflying isn’t conscious for me already.
Again, I can cover any amount of distance and not hit any more buttons. I can literally leave the keyboard and be assured I will fly perfectly in that line.
The same cannot be said for dragonriding.
Perfect is subjective in my opinion. Dragon riding, for me, is much more fun and much more entertaining thereby making old flight obsolete. I understand that for your reasons, you dislike it. But old flight had its own issues too.
This makes you very difficult to take seriously. Calling a company sadistic because they tried out something new that a good portion of the community seems to enjoy is very silly.
