A new dungeon scam. Beware

This was in ZF but it is probably done in many instances/dungeons.

Two guys will form a random group with invites.
They will make the rest 3 to clear trash mobs.
They will just say “we’ll skip first boss”.
(you need it, but you don’t want to sound negative so you go along).

They will skip second Boss too, and then suddenly when they see that the rest 3 are now starting to question things, they will both say that they have to go.

They won’t leave the group, but remove you.

Then they will try and do the bosses the two of them, when it;'s possible.

Bosses they couldn’t reach without the rest of the group clearing the path to them.

I won’t name the players because it’s’ against forum policy.

EDIT:
Some say that this a rare thing, and I find that to be a mistaken assumption.
How do you know that it’s not a frequent thing, that’s just overlooked until now?
I mean, I found out by a pure coincidence.

EDIT 2.
I can only explain the hostile reactions to this post, by assuming that they are players who regularly do this scam to others, and they’re upset that the scam is being called out.
Otherwise why would anyone be upset about such a post.

That’s oddly specific…

Four days wasn’t enough.

Probably has a lot more to do with the player(s) in the group more than the bosses.

instance was going great and fast. Literally nothing wrong with it.

If your post history is a sample of your personality in game, id still suggest it was the group, not the bosses.

Ah I see, you’re using this as an ad hominem attack because I hurt your feelings with something I posted in an earlier post.
That’s mature.

This is a 1/100 encounter so there’s no point in warning anyone

I’m sure that the OP did absolutely NOTHING to warrant getting kicked, and isn’t misrepresenting the situation AT ALL. < /saracsm >

No attack, just thinking about your i quit posts. Perhaps they were aware of your intention to quit, and thus didn’t want to get loot for a departing player.

No one was kicked.
They said they had to go.
Then the removed the 3 randoms.
But stayed in the instance.
it was a coincidence I found out.

Nothing went “bad” during the instance, we were moving fast, no delays, no deaths, nothing.

Sure, sure. Don’t worry, I totally believe you. Your past behavior on the forums certainly would never lead anyone to suspect you of misrepresenting things.

< /heavy sarcasm >

Seriously, though. Logs or it didn’t happen.

To the retail avatar Longburn:

Never written not even thought or posting an “I quit” post.
What are you talking about?
I have written 2 or 3 “Thank you Blizz for Classic” posts.
What are you talking about?

My point is that people should be careful and keep an eye for such a thing.
Ask before the instance starts if it’s a full run etc.
This could be a a wider phenomenon and no one noticed yet.

So lets pretend your stated issue is occurring, and let go so far as to say it’s 1 in 50 groups.

You expect everyone to change what they’re doing based on 2% of groups ?

It’s a little early in the day for this, but…

*Cracks Knuckles *

Here we go:

Here you are, demonstrating a shocking inability to grasp what the Spy addon does, and whining about how it “makes your class obsolete”, when in fact it does nothing of the sort.

Here you are confusing the Classic Forums as your personal Blog.

This absolute gem of you arguing with a Blue.

Another post you felt the need to make where the same Blue calls you out for having previously insulted other players.

You absolutely sure your getting removed from the group was a “scam” and it had nothing to do with your personality bud?
