A Formal Request Thread for Fresh/New TBC Servers

In response to botting, resource scarcity, and the rising cost of raid consumables, one of the suggestions in this video is to “farm your own” materials. lol…wow. How about more robust solutions to botting? Gimme a break.

Piper is just trolling you. Just don’t feed the troll.

Thanks.

PvE SERVER… There is only one for the Oceanic realm. Another reason I think a fresh server for the Oceanic realm would be a good idea. Currently there is only one PvE server for all of that realm for WoW Classic. Two more (one PvE and one PvP) wouldn’t hurt and would help deal with some of the population issues they are going to have in Outland for those servers.

Thanks.

Just imagine the smell in that thing’s room

100% agree. We need at least one more of each type, preferably a couple more pvp servers.

I’m not.

That’s a little rude to starve something to death

You’re welcome :slightly_smiling_face:

Beautiful :slightly_smiling_face:

I’m starting to sense a pattern :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Especially after what the poor folks on Arugal had to go through with queue times and such. Best to learn and avoid that repeat of history I would hope.

Thanks.

Probably pre-screened questions. I can’t believe they would not have proposed a question regarding fresh TBC servers. I take Blizzard’s unwillingness to answer as a positive sign. I do wish they’d answer though.

Unfortunately, we may have to wait until after TBC Classic launch to actually get an answer from Blizzard. They did release new servers for the original launch of the Burning Crusade in anticipation of renewed and new subscribers. But since the new server environments hold more people, they may be waiting to see what population levels look like after the launch of TBC Classic before deciding on creating any new servers. It would make sense since there are some low population servers in the U.S. and European regions.

Thanks.

Just flag godtier as trolling: even though he/she is adding thread activity, he/she is clearly trying to derail the constructive responses asked for in the OP.

Yeah, there are a couple of trolls in the thread. As much as I want to report them, they ARE bumping up the thread, so I just skip over their posts and ignore them.

Thanks.

Damn.

Well they talk about classic not TBC

Yup. Part of me wishes they would have tried to prevent the damage instead of letting it run its course.

You have to remember RMT have multiple accounts which makes blizzard more money and bigger numbers they need for their quarterlies as unfortunate as that is.

They did answer it. “Not right now” is the answer.

I’d like to hear the deductive logic and reasoning to this :slightly_smiling_face:

Probably. Just like they did with Classic.

Negative. The only people bringing up irrelevant nonsense is every time they want to make snippy remarks like this that contradicts the whole “stay on topic!” while not staying on topic themselves LOL

But, you still make snide remarks about them, though. Which means, you’re not really ignoring them :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

You’re welcome!

This is how you do it!

Mhmm.

Probably trying to see if the majority still want to endure all the garbage, after actually going through it (first hand) or “change it up”, now to shove the whole “you think you do, but you don’t” retort, in our faces. That’s just me, though :slightly_smiling_face:

Bumping. It’s been 2 hours since this has been active.

This needs to happen.

I think that part of it was the whole, “You think you do, but you don’t”, philosophy that Blizzard had originally with respect to Classic. What better way to prove they were right than by letting the wheels fall off with respect to the botters, farmers, GDKP runs, etc. Of course the original release was not nearly so “Wild, Wild West” as Classic has been. Back then, we didn’t have the thousands of YouTubers and streamers to show everyone just how best to exploit the game and its mechanics for personal and monetary gain. Not to mention all the gains in programming and automation that have occurred in the past twenty years or so.

I also find it hard to believe they couldn’t have done more than they did with respect to the botters, RMT’ers, multi-boxers, and exploiters. I know I am quite “old school” with respect to my programming and IT experience, but I just cannot see any competent system engineer designing a system without some forms of oversight and control. I admit these days it is quite possible with the number of script kiddies who are passing as engineers, but it still seems a bit incredulous to me.

So, I do think a large part of it was their wanting to just see where it all went with the release of Classic. I am not sure they even knew the lengths people would go to to exploit the game until it actually happened.

Thanks.

It’s good to see MetaGoblin joining in on the call for fresh TBC servers. He’s one of the more respected content creators.
