I’m hoping for Fresh TBC servers as well, mostly because I enjoy leveling with everyone, being on the same power level and not having power imbalances from the start, and a sane economy

Blizzard clearly needs to give us a better update on Fresh start realms and confirm if they will open them…
What they are doing now is smart. You think they aren’t listening because they aren’t responding to posts but they are watching. replying to a post on such a divided topic publicly before making a final decision on it is asking for trouble.

I agree with you. Considering, what was said, during the Q & A, regarding the Summoning Stones, and them turning that on “right away”, it’s not that far of a stretch for them to apply LFD in the same way. My opinion ofc 
There’s a few things here and there about Cata that I do and don’t like. One thing about Cata that I did like was the ability to create more Race/Class Combos like Human Hunters, Gnome Priests, Nelf Mages, etc.
Ofc, the thing I really didn’t like was the altering of the old world.
I do think Cata has its audiences. How large of a scale that it is, is another question. I don’t believe it’s as large as Wrath and/or BC, but I could be wrong

If we were dealing with 10 servers with 200 people on each of them, I would agree with you but that’s not at all what the current situation is. This is the lowest pops are going to get for the next couple of years at least and both OCE’s pvp servers, for example, are big enough to be split in two.
We’ll have to agree to disagree with the leadership thing. I’m more than happy to make groups. Last night on my mage alt I was trying to form a group for SFK and all I got over an hour or so was 60’s offering to run me through for gold.
It’s just the nature of the game when most active people on the server have several max level characters.

You did mention PvP Servers. I can understand and see why finding “legit groups” on PvP Servers would be a problem. PvE Servers, on the other hand, not so much. Because PvP Servers and PvE Servers operate and function completely differently.

you say “they did” and state them saying “maybe in the future” is any kind of meaningful or quantifiable update. I know what they said, they virtually said nothing. They said they’d look at the possibility of fresh starts after a smooth launch, I’m saying we need a better update than that.
A more firm update, guaranteeing fresh start servers at a specific date for example. i.e 1 month after launch, etc.
This is why you are to be ignored, what you say is actual hot garbage.
I asked for a better update, and you just quote their non-answer on the subject.

Listen. I’m a kiwi. We love a fight and so do the Aussies. Not even sure why there are PVE servers at all in OCE 
Ganking will still be around to some extent although there would certainly be less bored 60’s around during pre-patch on a new server.
Tbh, ganking was never something that bothered me until they brought in all that phasing and CRZ rubbish. Not a fan of layering really either but at least you’re not constantly landing off birds into seas of phased in cross realm red players.
PVP certainly doesn’t affect instance groups other than the occasional scrap at the entrance.
But hey, not here to argue one is better than the other. The biggest issues for me are what I’ve said earlier around the huge size of the existing servers, their level 60 pops and established communities, economies, etc. It’s just a worse environment for new and returning players than a new server.

What else is there to know? There’s more invested in Perma Legacy Servers, right now, than there are for NEW and/or Seasonal Servers, ATM. I’m sorry, but the majority wins. No, I don’t have the “evidence” nor “statistical data” but deductive reasoning and logic dictates that there’s more invested in moving onto BC with their Classic progression, than there are those wanting BC but not bringing their Classic progression. Very simple.
Classic advocates never got their answer, either other than “it’s coming”. Even us BC Players (whether we want it fresh or not, doesn’t matter) haven’t gotten our answer, either in WHEN it’s coming. The only thing we know FOR SURE is “sometime in 2021” and there’s no “fresh”.

Warlords of Draenor shown that multi-verses exist. I think the wisest thing they could do is start preparing to branch off a new WoW storyline, continuing from Wrath of the Lich King.
Learning from what worked and did not work, they can continue to expand race and class combos, adding the customization, etc.
Though if they update the graphic I would REALLY wish they moved away from the blocky cartoony look and resumed with their gritty look like their concept art shows.

You’re asking them to make a different Game. Nothing wrong with that. That’s just not what Legacy Servers are.
I respect your opinion. There’s things about the New Graphics that I like and dislike. Not a fan of the new casting animations. But, I appreciate the HD Models. Wish the casting animations weren’t so exaggerated. And, the way the hair moves so freely, gets on my nerves LOL OH! And, the bouncing male Tauren! Cringe!

Nothing wrong with players wanting a WoW 2. I’m not against a WoW 2. The only thing I’m against, and I hate to say this, is NEW Servers. I’m all for Seasonal Servers with a Paid Service to archive/save Seasonal Server Characters onto the Perma Servers. That really is the “best” solution.
Again, IK, it’s not exactly what all of us want because I don’t think these Characters should be archived/saved, at all, but it’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make, in order to appease NEW Server folk, in order for them to get that “fresh” experience (not exactly how they want it, but nonetheless is still “fresh”) and still being able to save their Progress. And, Seasonal Folks can get their jollies, too.
We have to make a choice EXACTLY like they said, in what’s important to us. So, we’re not just hoarding and saving a bunch of nonesense.

make a /1 general chat macro for it, get on griffon and select zone at opposite end of continent, then as you fly over every zone, hit the macro. when group full, hit the land at next flight point button and head to dungeon

It is easier, being a Mage and all. I just teleport to a Major City closest to the Dungeon 
I’ll even Port the person I recruit, too!
If I’m lucky, have the Lock Summon, win!
Life is still easy on my Lock, though. I bribe with summons! I still need 2 people with me to summon, though. So, 2 people still need to hussle 
EDIT: OH! And, my Hearth is set to Menethil Harbor. Those Boats make it easier to travel around the world

branch from vanilla. add the new races that came later not to include anything past cataclysm, as a fifth talent tree option, where you put them on like a druid puts on cat or bear form - like shapeshifts. the new shapeshifts are for specific classes instead of factions. for example, dks are only for paladin shapeshifts. blood elves are only for mage shapeshifts. draenei are only for shaman shapeshifts. worgen are only for druid shapeshifts. goblins are only for rogue shapeshifts. then liches or banshees for lock shapeshifts. naga for priest shapeshifts. and hunters can shapeshift into the appearance of their pet. oh and warriors shapeshift into vrykul.
identify whether horde or alliance by the color of their name or a faction symbol
the shapeshifts would include talents specific to the shift, so the paladin dk shapeshift would have some dk abilities. the mage blood elf shapeshift would have some blood elf tbc abilities (so not nerfed tbc blood elf racials also). etc.
for content, explore karazhan crypts as a raid. dragon isles would be a questing zone and raid, accessible thru the dragon portals in classic vanilla, which in turn would grant access to emerald dream zone. emerald dream would be a questing zone and raid. add content in that was gonna happen but they changed their minds, so the content is there, just not implemented yet.
It took 2 years for the current old servers to get to the state they are in, so no I don’t think in a month fresh servers would be in the same state.

Also LOL at how they think it’s “cool” how some people, mages, broke the game and farmed ridiculous amounts of gold (and bots doing the same) and won’t take that away from them.
So the people that exploited the OP power of mages get to benefit, anyone that didn’t partake is just S.O.L.
Confirmed progressive servers will be a nightmare.
