For starters, people could/would just buy a character moves to the dead realm if enough people all decide to reroll there and the idea takes off⌠rendering this whole experiment pointless.
I would also like fresh TBC servers. This doesnât hurt anyone⌠help us out here!

I would really really love if they did fresh servers, but id live with it if not. I just wish they would tell us definitively what they intend to do. I need to start leveling characters now, but if they announce fresh im going to be pissed wasting all that time.

The thing is I see all these people complaining about how they played for so long on servers that ended up dead and they âearnedâ their gold. The thing is you didnât earn that much gold if you are being honest. Its not news that bots inflated classic servers to insane levels. Also you clearly donât understand how this will kill a huge part of the population classic TBC can have. Day 1 epic flyers and people able to raise the price of everything to insane levels will only make it to where new players canât afford the items they need and wont be able to keep up with farming the difference in epic flyer and normal is redic when it comes to farming. Blizzard needs to admit one of 2 things and make a final decision and let it be known its final 1) They failed HORRIBLY in controlling bots in classic which everyone already knows or 2) They dont care and they are going to allow it to keep happening in classic TBC. Either way the only way they will keep a healthy population for TBC(which will do much better than classic due to arenas and just more stuff to do) is either do fresh starts or go back on what they said and cap peoples gold at a reasonable level(ie 1-2k) Flame away but its the same people who flame this response that will be crying 2months after classic TBC release for free xfers etc because their server is dead.

i sign for fresh, for classic and tbc.
also think creating 2 servers but splitting the players is a mistake, let those who want to play tbc transfer chars to new tbc servers with gold caps, let people level on those servers with new classes till release, and leave the classic servers and chars alone.

I just want to add my support for a fresh TBC server.
Consider the number of servers they have opened up, and the additional ones planned, adding one or two per region doesnât seem like a massive undertaking.

Sign me up for support! Would love to see and play on Fresh TBC servers whether they be Pre-Patch, Launch, or Post-Launch. If not, I can live with it either way, and am currently leveling a character with a couple friends in prep for Launch TBC. I also am in support for Fresh Classic servers or âSeasonal Restartsâ as I like to call them, because it just seems like a no brainer, and would generate big income for Blizz. A good drawing of what I think is the perfect example of how servers could be done is from Esfandâs reaction stream of BlizzCon, he forgot to explain it, but the drawing is self explanatory and I highly recommend people to check it out. Obviously as some people have stated above who are against the idea of fresh servers, Blizzard would 1000% NEED to crack down on the botting issue in order for fresh servers to succeed in the way that we who want them to.

If people come back at the start like they did the servers are going to be full again. With the higher pop servers being overlaoded as people push to get into them. 99% servers where people come back are going to want to transfer or reroll quickly after realizing they are not on the right side of that 99%.
I would bet that a fresh server would be Full, not only full but have a queue to get into from people wanting to swap sides but not wanting to deal with the economy or already built communities.

I agree. Many have been waiting for Burning Crusade as this is when it starts to get really good (in my opinion) and I believe the original sub spikes account to that.

I fully believe theyll make new servers at launch, but i highly doubt they are protected servers. Theyll just offer free xfers to them from the larger servers to alleviate pop issues

Why didnât they do this earlier then while other realms suffered mass population issues?
If they didnât do it then, they probably wonât do it now. It seems they leave a ânaturalâ approach to server balance/population, unlike other games that give incentive to low pop or faction imbalanced servers.
