You know, I actually think the opposite. The launch will be decent, but not Classic levels. However I think there will be a severe drop off in the population. Players will hit max, hit the attunement wall and quit in very large numbers.
Blizz isn’t going to add servers with such low populations at that point. The irony of course being they could pull in a massive amount of players just waiting for fresh servers, but Blizz has proven to be completely out of touch with the playerbase.

I thoroughly support this idea.

I think karazhan and arena will attract more players than classic did.
Kara and arenas already exist in the Retail game. Pretty much all of Outland and its content does. TBC doesn’t offer a world that no longer exists. I don’t think it’ll be nearly as successful as Classic. And maybe Blizz doesn’t either and that’s why they’re going so hard on micro transactions. Milk it for all it’s worth from the beginning before the mass exodus.

There are players that will not want to start over. They are unable to let go of their “stuff”. They are willing to pay real money to bring their “stuff” onto a fresh server. Blizzard knows this. That’s how they milk you.
Trust me. Delete all your characters and all your stuff just to make a statement.

Just stopped in to say I support this.

Bumping until Blizzard says yes, no, or maybe.

This all seems really nice but it looks like it’s too late unfortunately and once again, Blizzard ignores a plight to please their customers. It would be a nice surprise of they told us this were to happen anyways but here’s hoping.

I always hoped that if TBC, WOTLK would come, that we could not transfer. Maybe I am in a minority here, but what I wanted from these classic expansions was longlevity.
I wanted to play here and there and not have the pressure that I have in retail of playing through content in time.
For me vanilla still has so much content, why should I move to TBC already? But in TBC, we dont have new servers, so starting a second journey wont work either.
Its kind of a dilemma, as it is the same mistake that Blizzard did with retail, where we also progress every 2 years, which just isnt a good move in my books. At the original game I may understand it, as people want to see new zones and levels, but at legacy content I just feel that move is a mistake.

I’ll keep replying to this every day until June 1st. Hopefully by then Blizzard will have stepped up and actually commented on this thread. Like, we know at least one blue has to have read this already, if not multiple… and they’ve left us on “Read.” They are essentially ghosting us right now… except this isn’t a dating relationship, its a Corporation that used to have some amount of pride in their dedication to their fans.

Oh, they’ve read it alright. They’re just waiting on their monthly revenue report from initial launch with all the boosts/mounts for sale.
Those numbers would be crippled with a few “fresh” servers available at launch

fresh servers are a privare server thing. We do not need to associate with those criminals
Piper stinks like success
I’ll take that as a compliment LOL
I like the idea of some fresh tbc servers added. No harm no foul IMO

I never once played on a private server and I would love a TBC fresh server with no boosts or transfers.

I also have never played private servers and would like a fresh no boost no transfer server.
