Me neither. Pushing across several threads for fresh servers.
A billion dollar company doesn’t answer to possibly THE biggest thread for a game that is going to have microtransactions and a subscription? What awful customer support.
If this were any other business, I would be long gone by now.

Blizzard has the technology to ‘fix’ this problem. I would love fresh too, but I doubt that will really help the problem. I think if we had communities like retail we could build one that does not use GDKP and other stuff and if our community got big enough we could get our own layer. Just a thought. Maybe a strange idea but I think thats what players really want is a tight community that does not support immersion breaking practices.
Also, if you want to play on a pro-GDKP etc… community you could do that. It would work for everyone, as long as you can build a large enough community.

You mentioned GDKP. GDKP, botting and RMT not having been governed is the primary reason I have for fresh. Goodness gracious will the economy be a mess week one.
IDK about communities. They could throw together a few servers in a cinch. Didn’t take them too long in beta to get a launch date for the current retail TBC. No way I will be playing week one. Not wanting sympathy. Just want to see how ActiBli$$ion acts, server status, etc
If Blizzard did decide to make a fresh server, how long would it take before people started asking for another fresh server? Then another, and another? You can’t tell me that you would be happy with just this one fresh server start…

They would ask for another when the first filled up. So… not very long I would imagine.

Hey Myx!
I believe we are asking for a few fresh servers at first. I think ActiBli$$ion knows full well there is actually enough demand for this for a few servers. They also know the amount of traffic on this topic. No doubts. ActiBli$$ion is a billion dollar corp. This would be a cheap endeavour. We pay subs, and some (like myself) would actually just buy TBC as of it were a new expansion.
This thread is a bit of a testament to that. I would love to level and guild-up and raid with most of the people in this thread.
Ditto. But trolls are gonna troll. Don’t worry about that guy.

It would become a popular topic again before WOTLK launch
This isn’t rocket science. It’s clear why people want a fresh start server. The release of an expansion is the best time to do it.
I think at this point, what most people are feeling awful about, is the fact that Blizzard has said nothing on the issue. Not getting fresh servers is one thing - a lot of people could probably deal with that. Not getting any sort of information whatsoever on what Blizzard’s thoughts are on this issue is another thing completely, and it sucks. It sucks to be completely ignored. Just tell us what is going on Blizzard.

Big heart. Maybe when there are 3K responses? I mean, if it were only a dozen people with 2800 comments, that should still shake some things up. That is not the case, so yeah…baffling.

Probably after the trilogy is complete. But at that point everyone will want to start over. That likely depends on whether they keep those servers boost, transfer free, as they are asking for I’d imagine. Unfortunately, you’ll most likely never find out. This “new blizzard” seems hell bent on making a more retail like classic.

What’s annoying is the damned radio silence all the time.
Just tell us SOMETHING. Anything so people can just know
so they can either be happy or move on with it.
How hard is it for a popular question to be responded yes or no after months of asking?

As frustrating as it is, I doubt we’ll get a response until after release.
It sucks not hearing a single thing but unfortunately their silence is clear that they don’t want to answer this subject for the time being.

Well… I read just about the entire nearly 3k thread. I’d say maybe 200ish posts are relevant to the topic.
I would love to roll into TBC on a newly created server with transfer restrictions. My reasons are rooted in social atmosphere and fun, so I’m not looking to debate with anyone about the business hurdles or server management concerns.
In light of the muddiness of this thread, new ones have been created with the same goal of advocating the viewpoint to Blizzard in hopes of a blue response, correct? Might I suggest choosing the most on-topic of those and having it linked in the OP so some of the traction this behemoth generated can spill over?

Creating a new thread even by removing the debate is not going to change what happens in any of those threads. The same people or types of people are going to debate and it will devolve again, as it has in this one more than a few times.
The ask from the people in this thread to blizzard, for the most part, is a new TBC server to play on. Though i think at think most people would take a response either way from the devs just to put the topic to rest.

I think fresh tbc servers are a good idea, it’s something the community wants.

Lol we know that isn’t going to happen.
We’ve had definitive answers on boosts, and people have been whining for months.
We’ve also had definitive answers on deluxe edition and what it did and didn’t include. Still, no stop to the whining.
There is no putting a topic to rest. You’ve got people still talking about “oh 70 boosts and tokens are coming” when it’s not the case.
Those people may end up being correct in the long run but people who have been asking for New Servers for TBC i would assume many of them have back up plans to play the game. Putting a post out to either side would, for some, be all they need to know either way. Of course it wont stop everyone but it gives information some thing blizzard seems allergic to for whatever reason. Makes me wonder how many departments things need to be filtered though at this point to even make a post on the forums.
