This happens every expansion, people buy the new game play for a month then they quit.
Even more now because there is been no patch since shadowlands came out, so there is no new content to do.

WoW addiction is real. I had to pull away from retail in BfA hard. Buying tokens all day to where I couldnāt buy more. This was my main toon in BFA lol. BiS inspect me. I made it to level 51 and saidā¦ āYep. More of the same. Back to Classic.ā Andā¦ this mess. My last ditch effort at enjoying WoW will be if there are fresh options. Otherwise, screw the PvP /bot / RMT / especially GDKP wreck that TBC will inherit.

Exactly. Then they launch a sob story. Since Cataclysm āthe population has dropped 50%!ā Since Cata, and Iāve played every expansion with great knowledge of the game (started in the military with buds in my 20s, Iām 36 now), the same sob story. LOL.
Right on the head, Innovindil. And players become scared the game will go away or change so drastically. Donāt you worry yourself, Activision palsā¦ WoW isnāt going anywhere. Iām officially tired of retail, and TBC was mine (and so many othersā) favorite expansion of all. Sigh.
The forums are enough. I donāt need YouTubers one bit. All I hear is they get fed blah blah. No interest.

i have purchased one thing from the store - a mount. i mean, on purpose. 2 mounts were in wod and shadowlands collectorās editions. i dont consider those game store purchases since i was actually buying the game and the mount was icing on top, along with a mog set, a pet and an enchant appearance. back in box days, id have bought that at like walmart

Activision is all good. Not going anywhere. My real start with Warcraft was with the RTS. I joined WoW because I love RPGs and I grew up with it. I was grown by the time I started with WoW. The sheer number of mounts in the game right nowā¦ I mean, itās āMountains of Mounts,ā achievement after achievement. Shadowlands I called from the beginning. But, myself likely included, people always give them chance after chance. Iām glad I didnāt delve too far into the single-player rounded Shadowlands too much. All I hear is complaints from both it and Classic Vanilla. Classic Vanilla, right now, is a mess. Then the community isnāt getting prolific responses, only Activision-guarding, sarcastic ones.
Activision doesnāt need our help. We pay them. They could throw a few level 1 servers with GMs on it together in a week or less.

Check the post: āOh no, a collectorās edition mount! TBC is ruined!ā for instance. Activision has its feet-sniffers and butt-kissers who would go to battle for them if their life depended on it. Donāt you worry. We in the pro-fresh community donāt want that sort of Activision-Defensive-System anyways.
except when players are subbed months in advance via game token. i dont think those unsubs are counted because i dont think they can get a rebate on a token
This (has) happened every expansion since Cata. MoP was an unexpected success. Then a loss. Then WoD. Then a loss. Then Legion (another MoP sub boost). Then BFA. Now Shadowlands. Pretty much every expansion.
The hardcore (and I hate to say it because I am a grown nerd) Activision nerds, for some reason, instead of challenging the company they pay money toā¦guard it with their nerd lives. Youāll see people who just dissect things that challenge their company over and over, make fun of people because they want a game to change as the topic to an entire forum threadā¦ āOh no, a collectorās edition mount!ā for instance (just what is currently being dissected)ā¦ It goes on and on with them, without actually promoting or wanting to change anything. The mount is coming to the game. No stopping it. They know that. Just stirring the pot.
Our asking for fresh servers is a legitimate post by sincere people.

This thread is getting boring. Come on players, we want to see more threats about quitting if you donāt get fresh servers. Spice it up even more by talking about how boosts arent just bad for the game, but also innately evil. Finally, we need predictions that TBC is on a one-way course to failure even before it starts. The walls are closing in so you better voice your frustrations before it is too late!!
Edit: your opinion and your voice is most likely the one that will change the tide!

Anyway, hereās hoping Blizz are business savvy enough to give the people what they want: a fresh, boostless server option.

I honestly think they are just waiting to see if we keep fussing about it AFTER TBC goes liveā¦ they probably figure if we shut up about it, it was not that big of a concern for usā¦ Unfortunate, because by not releasing fresh at the same time-frame they would be hurting the potential of those servers getting a solid playerbase, but this seems in-line with how they do things now.

I for one will keep fussing. It would be a great disservice to our little community weāve already begun to not get any feedback at all. Iām spending my time promoting an easy alternative for āwhatever-may-comeā TBC servers. It really isnāt all that complicated. I pay a subscription, as does everyone in support of this. Our collective voices should matter. Iāve gone to other threads in promotion of a clean game. Thatās all we want. Reset the broken economy. Weāre not here to step on anyone elseās toes.

So Blizz is using the boost as a way for ppl to get 58 and play with their friends in TBCā¦what about the friends that have multiple lvl 60s and want to play at lvl 1 with their friends on a server that will have ppl to group up with and raid. WE WANT FRESH

odd! what would cause that?
after taking a 9 year break from the game, and being back into it for a couple months, I would much rather be on a fresh start server. Just saying it sure would be nice to not be so out gunned all the time.
