Something that has crossed my mind about this topic is how 1-60 is handled on these fresh servers. Blood elves/draenei aside, people are emphasizing the whole âeveryone will level together from 1 and itâll be a good level experienceâ thing, but I donât really see the value of the (nerfed) 1-60 âleveling experienceâ when it doesnât actually matter for TBC. Seems more like a formality TBH.
I can guarantee you people donât want fresh/new for catchups.
Not only do they have plenty of time from now to then to get their character to 60. They can take the boost.

they arent asking to have their hands held. how is leveling from 1 with other people who want to level from 1, a problem? youâre not thinking it thru

Itâs always this way. They are worried, rightly so, that the masses would want to start on a fresh server and hence there would be a huge exodus out of their current server, leaving them with fewer people to look down upon.
If they launch new servers there is no way a new player would ever pick an old legacy server to roll on over a fresh server, so over time those old servers with horrible economies would just dry up, and that frightens those that only want their desires catered to.

But thats what it is. People who have fallen behind and feel at a disadvantage to those who played the game want a safe bubble where they dont feel behind and are on par with everyone else
aka a catchup.
People are so caught up on âbut those naxx geared players!â That they dont even think how short that window will be. Naxx gear will be dropping off quickly and when it does you would be in the exact same boat as everyone else
They are giving a level 58 Boost.
No it has nothing to do with catchup, it has to do with ruined economies, and the joy of new server communities.

There are servers where the economy is fine. Also if you dont want a catchup then why do you care about the state of the economy?
(hintâŚyou feel you are behind on gold and want fresh servers as a way to catchup with everyone else.)
Its a really minor thing. They will get to level ahead of time, and in no time they will be on equal footing. They arent forever behind

I donât get the Naxx thing. Naxx isnât going away. Folks that want to experience Naxx can roll/stay on Classic Era Servers or they can go back and get the cosmetics gear.
The fact they are leaving Classic Era servers allows everyone to experience Naxx while its ârelevantâ.

I support fresh TBC servers with no threat of transfers from existing realms (edit: OR BOOSTS). Pretty much the only way I will bother playing it, otherwise I will stick to vanilla classic.

fresh tbc wont happen because it only brings more complaining from the fresh community. This will open endless complaining about dead battleground groups and low pop/dead servers.
