A52 is so heavy with craft ads that I can basically just wait 5 minutes and I’ll see whatever it is I’m looking for without even asking publicly.
According to your cheevos, you killed the first 3 Mythic bosses in Highmaul months after the raid came out, and got Heroic in Highmaul & BRF but not Hellfire Citadel.
The early bosses are freebies. That’s not “mythic prog raiding”. Nor are they anything close to being “some of the game’s toughest challenges”.
Trade and LFG are VERY active on my server for general chat, but it’s Moon Guard.
A lot of people also chat in Discords now instead of in the active game because then they can keep in touch with the people they actually want to talk to instead of the general public across servers, guilds and factions and with messages that stay even if you’re offline. It’s a lot more flexible for having multi-participant persistent chats that don’t rely on either groups restricted by game mechanics or being a total free-for-all.
This is the funniest reply, cause on Argent-Dawn EU people still use trade chat as their outlet for political stuff and random nonsense. I switched over there just because of this when the other realms died. Felt like a wasteland during those last seasons of Shadowlands(?) Kinda hit me in a weird way that something changed.
Good post, just quoted some
This isn’t a problem. Can’t gear all content to your family and friends.
The current gearing system only creates divides among friends if those players allow it to do so.
With the PTR and datamining, the days of anything outside of the secrets being unknown and exciting are just kind of gone.
We have so many tools available to us now that we know what the best specs and talent builds are withing days of a patch, and what numbers we are capable of. THAT is where the divide comes from. Sub optimal specs according to a tier list are going to naturally be left out in the cold because the numbers just don’t lie. That’s just the reality of the game now.
Community is what you make it. Surround yourself with the types of players you want to run with, and everything else will fall into place.
I’m sorry you are right I was progressing through mythic raid content but I wasn’t a prog raider because I didn’t prog hard enough for you.
You are the ones that said
Fair point, updated the original post.
Yea some people say the community is better on classic, but iv been on classic since Wrath and people are worst there than retail
I feel like SoD was doing really well until they started implementing retail raid system into it.
If you want the game to be more accessible, then content needs to be designed in a way that does not make DBM, Weak Auras, or similar add-ons mandatory.
You’re a bit late, TBC was like 18 years ago, we are on WoW 11.0.7 at the moment.
The biggest nemesis of a WoW 2.0 would be current WoW. People would have to be willing to walk away from up to 20 years of work. Also, we get ‘looking back’ comments (good and bad) about every previous expansion. WoW 2.0 would be nothing but a look back at what has been improved, but most of what we would hear would be what has been lost. A transition may also prove an excellent jumping off point for many players that cannot be counted on to be replaced.
That was destroyed by shards to make the world feel “full” for low pop servers. If they go back to “you play on your server and only your server”, then we will have a community to have spirit with.
What aspect of the game do you feel is inaccessible due to DBM/WA/etc?
The crafting spam is amazing.
The contract is in your face randomly and has only one option. Blizzard is a bully holding your time and money hostage.
Also by LFD.
Remove LFD/LFR from the game if you want community. It’s a start.

The 1.2 seconds to scroll down and hit “accept” once every 6 months.
Horrible.
