A big problem with ff14 that WoW doesn’t have

If I recall,… When WoW first launched in 2004, there was a similar situation where they didn’t make enough DVDs/game keys and people literally had no way to get into the game.

I think they only made like 250K keys, because they didn’t expect an explosion of players. And the servers were a mess for weeks as EQ and UO fans began their exodus to WoW.

So, this is actually a great sign for FF14. There is huge demand for a new MMO to play.

I remember the patch in legion where they added 4 bag slots. That one was a doozy.

If it means less FF threads I’m alright with it too

I hope you know it was never personal for me. We just see very different things when we look at this game, I think. Truly, I envy that you still see what you do in it. Best of luck. That goes for Yesuna, Brewer, that one undead warlock from TBCC (sorry I forgot your name) and the other MHP in that fairy transmog.

It’s weird I find myself much more sad about losing forum access than I did about uninstalling the game or cancelling the sub. Even sadder, I know more names from these forums than I do active players from the game. Oh well.

WoW would be 500% better if you could fight bosses in cruise wear:

People need to understand that when your sub ends, it just ends.

Blizzard isn’t going to dock someone’s pay just because a few subs leave in one day

You may be gone by 10 pm but someone else will be subbing to try retail/classic TBC the next day but you won’t know that

At the end of the day, you’re already replaced by someone new

Just because I stopped buying pizza from papa Murphy’s doesn’t mean management is going to fire the employees there just because I stopped going

Using entirely objective facts, tell me how FF14 is better.

Remember, only objective facts count, or its your opinion.

OK I’ll bite… like how many streamers crashed the Classic servers, that kind of lack of pre-planning?

(which would have been throughout the entire development stage as these are existing WoW streamers vs. the June 12 announcement to July 3 first play date for SE)

OR

The 17 years of horrible play experiences on launch with servers crashing and entire day queues that still exist in Warcraft today?

Tribalism at it’s finest.

With that being said, this is the Warcraft forums and truly this ongoing onslaught of FFXIV posts does a disservice not only to the genuine concerns/critiques/complaints of the Shadowlands experience, as there are many and degrades to this bickering of which is best, which is different for everyone.

I will say where there is smoke there is fire…Blizzard might find that it might be worth finding out why people are making other choices

I don’t want anyone at Blizzard to lose their job or have their pay docked. Not a dev or anyone under them at least when they already have employees living in their cars and skipping meals because they are notorious in the industry for low pay. Even if I did, im under no illusion that my one little sub will make a dent. But eventually, enough drops do make an ocean. I’m also not leaving to prove a point, or stick it to the man (lol) I’m leaving because I found a game I have more fun in, and a community I enjoy more.

That said, I do think some reshuffling is desperately needed. I don’t believe the current dev team have passion for WoW or understand their game, or some combination of both.

You may be right in that I overestimate the impact the exodus will have or if you even believe there is one, but I think you overestimate the number of people taking our spots.

No, the pizza place may not close, but eventually their numbers will dwindle until they no longer have dine in, but just pick up and delivery, or just turn into a food truck with few menu items.

WoW has went from fine dining, to a food truck. And if some people think the food is just as good as before, then good on them. I don’t.

and ive said a thousand times, and with a few hours left, I will say one more time.

I love WoW and only want the best for it. I still believe it is possible to turn the ship around, even if very unlikely. Im sorry to say it, but YES they need a Yoshi P, desperately. WoW and blizzard games in general (Diablo and Diablo 2 literally since childhood) have shaped who I am, who I married, real life friends, ups and downs, guild mates passing away. This isn’t a Netflix subscription, this is like a divorce. And Im full aware of the lulz that comment will bring, but its real and true.

And If I meme on, hate on, or throw shade at WoW, its because im frustrated, im angry, and im sad about what it was, what it is, and what it still could be.

FF14’s moron fanbase will ensure that I will never play this game again no matter how good its fans pretend it is.

If your game was really so good why are you on the forums for a game you allegedly hate telling everyone how good it is instead of just playing it?

This thread made me quit wow for FFXIV.

LOL imagine the irony if you would… of while I was swapping toons and responding to your post that I encountered this.

Until the bandwagon folk realize just how much reading is involved.

They remove belts cause belts don’t show up in the characters as an article of clothing - it’s literally just an invisible stat item.

So they had a look if having something like that is even needed, decided nah in order to reduce gearing bloat and chose to yeet them belts.

Gear bag space is a side benefit to that.

Ugh, these threads are getting annoying. I wish they’d start moving these threads over to off topic when people spam them. We don’t need to constantly compare Wow to another game or shill for FF14 out of spite.

I thought this would be a problem too, but FFXIV has a LOT of story but its given in small pieces that you click through and easy to read, where as in WoW it’s one big long block of quest text, usually.

I’m starting to find them hilarious in that the new expansion just released for FFXIV but people keep coming back to GD to have something to do with their time.
