9.2.5 update doesn't seem like a whole lot

I’m guessing you arnt a software developer and have no idea how updates are promoted from a test server to production, do you?

WTB refund for every reset on patch day, it’s the least they could do @blizzard

Cross faction…
Is limited atm to mythics, raids and arena/rbgs. So the real advantage of leveling with my friends with my ally toons in dungeons or open world still can’t be done. What’s the point then!?

Too bad only raiders and mythic people can use the feature.

I don’t have to be a technician, I work for a large insurance company and half the time any updates they push out that have been tested still mess up when they go live.

It’s clear it’s not that simple for WoW either as frequently patches take hours and hours. If it was as easy as you claim to “preload,” the update to en every patch day would require like a 5 minute maintenance.

You can actually use it for dungeons, farming old raids, and I think even Torghast. Basically everything except world quests.

Only instances you manually make your own group for. Who does that for anything besides mythics and raids?

So you’re mad that LFD and LFR doesn’t allow cross faction? Or is there something else?

A big part of cross faction was to allow friends to play with their friends of an opposite faction, that’s precisely who uses premade.

Just how big of a portion of the playerbase do you think that actually is? Also, who said I was mad? Do you think any time someone says something you don’t agree with they are mad?

I work for a large insurance company as well. Every month we have a release where we promote all the changes (usually 20-30 programs, and up to 100 table changes) from a test region to production. The whole process take about an hour. The next 1-2 hours are spent making sure everything is working as expected.

The point is, it is every bit as simple as pushing a button; usually just setting the time for the promotion to take place within whatever change management program you’re using.

Also if you’re encountering bugs in production that you’re not seeing in your test region, you’ve got some serious problems with your environments.

Yeahs I do! It’s an accent, y’know!

(Bits belated but it’s fine.)

Okay so you aren’t mad, do you care at all? Do you think it’s stupid? What is your main concern?

Its the gnome in him…

After being gone for several years, it’s refreshing to see the complaints and snarky remarks haven’t gone anywhere.

some of the nerfs are warranted yes but after all these years and mind you i Main monk…monks need a serious nerf in PVP the ability to chain a disarm then a silence then a stun rinse and repeat they can keep someone locked down 100 percent of the time to where they are helpless as soon as stuns is used and the duration is up they can silence then the silence is done the stun is ready again we are overpowered and that needs to be adressed

Yeah pvp is probably the worst it’s ever been imo. I’ve recently decided to just stick with the pve scene

the logistics with cross faction are prob a nightmare

That’s true and fundamentals of any software is of course going to take a bit of time.

This is huge if you are alliance. If you are horde already though, it’s kind of like “cool story bro”.

So YMMV as to the impact on your day to day.

Its almost like .5 patches have never ever in the history of this game brought significant content, or like if they did they would be .5 patches.

Weird huh.
