The majority of the Souls went into the Soulkeeper with smaller number(hard to say how much smaller though just that they are smaller in amount) of Souls being what turns into a Shade getting obliterated by us!

we donÂŽt know how manyâŠnight elf souls are destroyed or not.
Iâm aware of this, but even after we save those, we learn that there are still countless of souls in the maw, and we never got to save them.
Ingame numbers also support that we only saved a small portion of the Night Elf souls, and seemingly the rest was either obliterated or forged into weapons.
We also know that those few named souls (Astarii etc.) that we saved were at the place in the maw where the jailer forges souls into weapons.

None of this has anything to do with her âpower levelâ, beyond her just never in her history showing the capabilities NE players are demanding of her now; because her status as âThe One True God in the ENTIRE Warcraft Universeâ is being threatened, alongside the NEs positions as the Chosen People of the One True God. Its me being more comfortable with the idea that a being of the Life Cosmology being predisposed to playing favorites due to their innate nature, and finding that more forgivable than a foundational creator god of those Cosmologies (especially a prospective Omnipotent one like youâre suggesting Elune is here) doing the same.
Because YES other peoples can âworship and revere herâ ⊠but sheâs never been predisposed to ever aiding them at all. Least of all in such direct ways as NE players are expecting sheâs capable of (but chooses not to). Not even the Tauren when her own great grandkids were driving them to extinction (I suppose they just worship her the wrong way?) Elune does pick favorites. She may have a few scattered among the stars, but she does.

Yeah, lets not bring in RW religion into this. That is NOT a good discussion to go down with how Blizz portrays the non-traditionally EuroFantasy races on the Horde. Since the only possible way they can be portrayed as ânot evilâ anymore, is by how convenient and submissive they are to the inherently good members of a traditional EuroFantasy races of the Alliance. Especially on the cusp of what possibly could mean an soul-splitting excuse or redemption for both Arthas and Sylvanas with these soul gems.
But in an in universe discussion, yes, I do have a problem with a being of that caliber playing favorites. Judging races in their infancy on some inherent or intrinsic worth, then raising them to greatness. As for anyone she didnât âChoose Worthyâ based on whatever arbitrary metrics she had (and thus didnât raise up in her image), she would be seen as a cruel and uncaring God at best. And yes, I do get Iâm talking to some NE fans who seem revel in that sort of âJust Born Betterâ Chosen Ones style power fantasy.

Tbh, I would honestly rather they dont change the stuff about the elune stuff, they have chosen what they want to do, it being bad or otherwise might be up for decision, do i find it stupid? Sure I find more than 90% of the stuff they do to be stupid so it shouldnt be a surprise.
Homever⊠Given how far behind they are on development for the expansion, etc I would rather they retcon this thing out later⊠Itâs inevitable in reality.

I fail to see the connection.
Dimensius needed an anchor to manifest himself. Without it he was defeated easily. The Void Lords cannot fully manifest in our reality. Which was why they created the Old Gods.
Also I still like to imagine that Netherstorm is still in the Twisting Nether at least. The rest of Outland can be on the border, but Netherstorms story states that it is the Twisting Nether. So Dimensius did not manifest in our reality

Oh because he has some weird vendetta against me, but naturally heâs incorrect. As is obvious, I am asking in the OP to head to the PTR forums, given majority of the Story Forum rarely thinks to give story feedback. Selfless labor on my part really.
So to summary your point: it would be bad for the horde people if elune would be a first one.
But elune didnât never harm the horde directly, nothing changed her behavior either way.
IMO it would be bad for everyone but the NEs, including Elune herself, for her to be a first one. With how much she plays favorites. As if you arenât âchosenâ, it portrays her as a passively cruel God that places value upon races in their infancy based on arbitrary metrics; then stacks the deck in their favor to create a self-fulfilling prophecy. Allowing those blessings she gifted them to be exploited to rampage against other races (like the Troll Empires), and not even attempting to interfere her own decedents nearly eradicate another race that does revere her (just not the âright wayâ). They arenât intrinsically and inherently valuable people I suppose.
But, at the end of the day I donât really care. It doesnât change anything beyond me finding Elune being more sympathetic as the WQs sister (and an Eternal Tier Being) rather than a First One (and above the WQ). This discussion has absolutely reminded me why I do not like the NEs. Their expected Racial Fantasy is so antithetical to what I enjoy in Fantasy or Fiction. Iâve never been fond of âBorn More Special and Just Betterâ narratives.

Ăh elunes power was not the reason the ne empire grew. It was azshara and the highborne influence.

Is there any deity in any mythos that isnât jealous and petty? That much is universally consistent.
I just donât have any possible visible threads to the first ones now and thus simply donât care about that whole development now.
Every content creator without exception was in the same boat. Not just Pyro and Accolon
It was her chosen people exploiting the boons she supposedly blessed them with to just run rampant on the World. Yet, she did apparently nothing. Just as she did nothing to curb the genocidal rampage against the Tauren. A group of people who do still revere her in their own way. But if not for the Evil By Birth Orcish people, the Tauren would have gone extinct to her own Great Grandkids. Neither did Cenarius for that matter. And even here, the expectation is that she step in ONLY for here Favored Children. No one bats an eye when she does not step in for anyone else; least of all those people she didnât find intrinsic worth in (or guide to greatness).
It makes more sense to me personally that a being of the WQs tier of power would be prone to picking favorites in this way. Especially with races and cultures that allign with their specific cosmological branch of the Universe. Its less appealing and excusable for a being that created the very Cosmologies themselves to play favorites.

Whens the last time Blizz has actually validated anything about the Tauren culture, or hell spirit worshipping cultures as a whole? Crap, theyâve been subtly undermining them over and over again in passive ways since WoD. The Earthmother isnât real lol! The Tauren are just as primitive and wrong in their faiths as any other Horde race is. Which is why their destiny should have been going extinct to Cenariusâ Grandkids.
