Also is anyone going to point out how we just lost the Night Warrior without any pay off?
- Night Warrior with no pay-off
- Zero Forsaken in the 9.1 and Sylvanas-related storyline
- Calia is present but useless and has gotten zero character progression in any sense
- Lilian is MIA even though her dad is next to Helya
- Baine is useless (shocked! Iâm shocked!)
- Taelia is there⌠for what reason?
Could go on.
I just find it funny how every Night Elf fan predicted it after 8.1 already, but itâs still sad to see how it actually came true lol.
And well, since Tyrande is suddenly not insane and consumed by vengeance anymore, she can just forgive Sylvanas and we forget about her crimes. Big oof. Now she is sane like Anduin, Jaina and the others. As if she wasnât totally reasonable as the Night Warrior

All this says is that Elune is one of Azerothâs few True God while the Titans are not Gods at all!
The only other source that makes claims on the nature of Eluneâs divinity is the Non-Canon RPG which claims she is the only God!
Well, that has been retconned I guess
Yes that is what I said.
Which is why I did not bring this point up, as it is non-canon.
And yet it says nothing about what True Gods are! The Encyclopedia treats Old Gods as Gods not Demigods!
Yes because at the time, Old Gods were the apex of cosmic horror in the traditional lovecraftian sense; Void Lords (who are not Voidlords) were not in the mix yet.
In traditional Lovecraftian sense the Outer Gods are above the Great Old Ones!
Void Lords seem very similar to Outer Gods to me.
Void Lords are purple elemental-shade blobs dude.
We never seen one
Crazy idea. SUPER crazy idea. Maybe Elune and Anâshe are members of the life pantheon. The Winter Queen is one of their other siblings, there may be even more. Heck, maybe Anâshe is a member of the light pantheon and there is a sibling in each section of the cosmology.
So, who is the First One in this equation? Simple. The Earth Mother herself.
Dimensius was described as Void Lord, rather than Voidlord.
all old lore, it doesnt mean much ever since vold lords got upgraded when the chronicles came out, he literally cant be a void lord cause if the void lords got out sargaras would have fliped
Well, kinda.
In Legion it was implied that he was basically a fragment of one intruding upon our reality.
So basically Dimensius as we saw him (and as he existed on Kâaresh, which was presumably far more powerful) was the equivalent of the real Dimensius out in the Void poking his âfingertipâ into our reality and nudging stuff around until that fingertip got pushed back out.

I long for the day our masters can truly pass into this realm. You have only seen fragments, shadows; the faintest of echoes. Ask the Ethereals what one of these manifestations are capable of. (at Star Augur Etraeus)
We only saw a mere Echo of Dimensius!
A Voidwalker once showed Tentacles like an Old God!

Think of Voidwalkers as the Avatars of Great Old One-like Old Gods and the Voidlords as Avatars of the Outer God-like Void Lords!
And echoes generally resemble what theyâre echoing.
I mean not quite? Very not âfleshyâ.
Neither resembles the Outer Gods.
To get away from the obvious because of Eluneâs status, Elune had a long game, she probably could have saved the night elf souls, but they serve a purpose in Ardenwaeld that Elune has not yet revealed. She did not bring Tyrande to the Maw for no reason, brought her to Ardenwaeld, and did not let her followers die for no reason, although it might have been in her power to prevent it.
And as I said, Elune can still be a First one, easily, older sister of a being that exists since the beginning of the universe (WQ)âŚcanât be much more, itâs just not her mother. Why I think that is because, for example, the overgrowth does not fit at all to Elune who is constantly on balance and order, and also so indeed values life, but also taught the night elves that life must sometimes be taken to maintain the balance.
How does a being whose only interest (Pantheon of Life) is to spread life fit in?
But most Night Elf souls are gone, obliterated after having been tortured in the maw. That doesnât make sense.
Eh we only saved a small chunk of them, so if that was Eluneâs plan, then it was not a very good one.
If Elune had the option to prevent the Night Elves from going to the maw and didnât do it, that makes her a terrible goddess
I liked where a lot of things were going at the start of the Shadowlands.
With 9.1 on the horizon, theyâre definitely moving it in a direction Iâm not overly pleased with. Itâs disappointing to hear theyâve decided to do this with Elune. Maybe there is more here to tell, but so far it looks⌠mediocre at best.
