9.1 PTR Elune Feedback SPOILERS

My logic is Pantheon!Elune means we are never getting an An’she, while First One!Elune necessitated an An’she.

Neither gives anshe, tauren have been wrong about everything lol

Y’know the NUMBER one reason people thought her sister was Eonar. Its not because it actually made sense. Because despite fronting the funds to Freya, Eonar never had ANY sort of relationship with Ysera. Not even one of Master and Pet. Its largely because, its just people didn’t want it to be Elune. So, like with Ogmot’s Shepherd and Sylvie, those who “didn’t want it to be her” latched onto ANYONE who could even maybe fit the bill.

Its the “Tear of Elune”. The WQ is a being at least of a Titan’s equal. She was in no way culturally predisposed to “rename it” for Elune like the NEs “might” have. Unless its a bug, or not complete, Elune is the WQs sister. And she’s not a First One. She’s an Eternal Tier being (which means she’s Universal, just not Foundational).

Oh so they HAD to ruin Elune too?..

Not only is she not Night Elf exclusive anymore, she is also not a goddess anymore. And seemingly, also doesn’t seem to care about the souls of her people.

I’d be really angry, but I’ve grown so tired of it and I really haven’t been expecting anything else anyway, because everything Night Elf related must go downhill or be taken away.
This is just one of many things, and it certainly won’t be the last thing either…

The Quest line quite literally references she has something very important planned for the souls of her people Eth. And she still very much is a Goddess in EVERY functional sense. Eternal Tier beings quite literally act in the same functional capacity as a God would, to the entire Universe. The WQ is also essentially a God. It would just mean that Elune didn’t craft the Cosmos and Cosmologies themselves, which is probably for the better. As her habit of “picking favorites” would come as pretty vindictive and cruel if she were of that First One’s tier.

OP seems to want Elune elevated to supergod status. One would think if that was the case she could have done a little more than just anesthetize the NEs during the burning of Teldrassil.

Speculatively there’s a new cutscene missing on the PTR that might take place at the burning of Teldrassil having been the Winter Queen asking Elune to let the Night Elves die.

I had the same idea and I still think this would have been the best outcome, but that was before this awful cosmological multiple-pantheons plotline started.

Well thats quite horrific if true, but would Elune even have the ability to save her people or stop that fire? Her powers have always been murky, but as far as I’m aware she has NEVER been that oppressively direct. Her whole gimmick is to work in passive ways right?

The Winter Queen and Elune have secret plans for the Night Elf souls that Elune still hasn’t told Tyrande about after the 9.1 questing, so Blizzard is still sticking with the elusive and mysterious ways.

Where are you getting that? There are two skipped not yet implemented cutscenes in the Elune questline but nothing I saw implies anything close to that.

Ehh… I guess that could mean she let them die on purpose but I took it more as “now that they’re here we have a plan for them” rather than it being something stretching back to Teldrassil.

Could be. But a question or criticism constantly brought up is why Elune would have let the Night Elves die. Speculatively could be Blizzard trying to answer that without answering it yet.

Why did she let Cenarius die against Grom? Why did she let Ysera die? Why did she not stop Azshara herself and save 80 percent of Azeroth’s landmass? Why did she let Archimond nearly destroy Nord? Did it ever occur to people that the goddess who has almost exclusively operated in passive ways, wasn’t capable of those sort of blunt and direct sort of actions? Like stopping the burning, or saving those in the tree?

Elune is Obama

More I see you particularly hope that Elune is not that powerful rather that her having reasons for not stepping in when she doesn’t.

That is cursed.

That said I thought Elune was an Old God so I have nothing much to provide to this conversation other than…the Winter Queen may be an Old God. That’s all I’m sayin.

This is what I took for it, you guys are massively negative

People just mad their bad headcanon didn’t happen. Some of us kept saying that banking on this whole, “EONAR MADE YSERA!” line while ignoring the rest of Ysera’s backstory directly involved with the Night Elves and the Ancients and Elune herself was a bad move.

None of the freakout about Elune’s power level or anything of the sort is confirmed and its all just insane supposition.

Eonar not being mentioned whatsoever outside of them just reusing the name of a legendary she had from Legion was such a stretch when they were bashing us over the head with Elune’s involvement in BfA and Shadowlands. There’s a reason they kept bringing Elune up and not Eonar.

Any basic level of understand Blizzard’s very obvious storytelling would make the reveal obvious. It’s just fun to see the reveal confirmed rather than actually caring about the power level of cosmic entities, it’s like some Marvel or DC kind of pointless bickering.

Didn’t the Jailer turning out to be the Super Lich King 2.0 and being the strongest strong man who ever stronged after being introduced 16 years into this game’s story not dissuade people from trying that?
