From what I found on Google, D2 remastered is being handled by “Team 3” (which is for Diablo) and a company called Vicarious Visions.
Is that what the OP “told us?”

Yes. Imagine you had 3 teams.
On team 1 you had 500 people.
On team 2 you had 50 people.
On team 3 you had 10 contractors.
Imagine if you would, an alternate universe where you were on team 1, and you and 85% of your team was moved to team 2 and 3…

Release Date Set Announcement - Nov 2 2018
Release date -December 11, 2018
Less than 2 months from announcement to release date set announcement, 3 months from announcement, to full release…
Now let’s look at 9.1
Announcement date Feb 19th.
Release date Set Announcement (TBA)
Release Date (TBA)
It’s been 4 months and we still don’t even have a release date set yet… with 1 month from announcement to release, we are still at least a month away, when they do set a date…
In the time since they announce 9.1:
TBC beta announced
TBC beta happened
TBC beta finished
TBC release date set announcement
TBC release happened
D2R announcement
D2R beta announcement
D2R beta happened but not finished
D2R release date set announcement happened
WOW PTR announcement
All that in the time that 9.1 was just revealed… but no release date even set yet.
EVEN IF they set a release date tomorrow, the dev time for this first major content release after an expansion is still DOUBLE the previous expansion.
And you think they aren’t pulling resources from WoW retail teams to work on re released content…

Yeah I do think that because I don’t have any evidence to the contrary. 
Plus they said that a subsidiary company called Vicarious Visions was working on the D2 Remastered.

Or option C… they have no workers and hardly anybody with actual skill/talent left… much more likely given the quality of not only the last 4 something Xpacs but one or two of the pre-Legion ones as well…
