9.1 is almost out

As such, I propose we finally make Alterac it’s own zone in an old world update! Mostly to reflect the fact it was a Kingdom and not just a city state (to my understanding at least)

To be fair, the two aren’t mutually exclusive.

For instance, the Catholic Pope is still technically a “King” under old Feudal lore. An elected monarch, but a monarch nonetheless. The land he rules is less than a city state though haha.

Always seemed to me that Alterac was an influential city state whose leader was called a King.

That said never against old world updates. Lay em on me!

If you ask me the end of raid cutscene would have been a WHOLE lot cooler if everyone involved was wearing a nice pair of glasses. Put the strongest part of the patch on display, blizz! Zovaal in some cool shades Thrall in some frumpy half-moons have some fun with it

You gotta sort of eye twitch at the fact he still has a hole in his chest.

I just picture everyone watching that orb go to his chest like “Finally, that awkward hole will be plugged. He might have won, but at least — wait, wtf??”

Zovaal is actually the cable guys from that South Park episode, I’m sure.

I was hoping it’d bean him in the face and he’d teeter right off the edge of eternity-whatever with a laugh track and just vanish out of the narrative but boy howdy that’s too much to ask

Personally I’m glad for the cinematic.

It means is the confirmation tat 9.2 is the last patch which means Blizzard is getting the memo trying to center thier story on the cosmic chart is dumb.

alright so: 9.2.

obviously we think it’s going to be the final battle against the jailer and then we move on to 10.0?

but what if it was the final battle against anduin who we free and who will help us prepare for 10.0: Mysteries of the First Ones, where we continue to pursue the jailer???

blizzard, send me your job offers.

The Maw/Torgast would have been so much cooler if it looked like a Zdzisław Beksiński painting.

I hope Shadowlands ends with Sylvanas being all happy and redemptive looking over the Horizon with Nathanos as they lean in for a kiss hands grasp hold of her and start pulling her back into the Maw.

Basically this but with Arthas dragging her into super hell

ay yo base Mythics give 210s who wants to run some

My depression has kicked my butt enough that I ended up resubscribing today to hang with my squad of goons after spending all afternoon reminiscing (read: dookposting) about vanilla/classic.

Will it be worth the $14.99 I’ve put in for now? Maybe. But at least if I let it slide again I can immortalize my avatar with these sexy scholar glasses.

i still cannot figure out how the unlocks work? like i’ve got all 4 on the character that bought them, 2 on Horde, and 2 on the rest of the Alliance

That is odd. I didn’t try on anyone else but I had all five on Opherial when I went to the spray-n-go to have them grafted to my face.

power welded

I guess I can say I’m okay with it - it’s not overly elaborate and it’s certainly doesn’t involve a death I wasn’t expecting to begin with, but continues in the general WoW tradition of lightweight drama that’s more He-Man than Tolkien.

I grew up with He-Man, so frankly this is fine.

Also I’m enjoying Korthia a lot more than I thought I would - it’s a bit Nazjatar 2.0 but much better executed imo.

korthia > firelands > nazjatar

Does it maybe have to do with the refund timer? Believe I had it before where if you buy it and don’t actively use it for transmog or actively play the character who purchased the item for I believe 1 hr (maybe 2) then it doesn’t get added to the account collection because there’s a refund timer counting down still. It doesn’t countdown while you’re offline. Actually transmoging it on the character makes the item no longer refundable and adds it to the permanent collection.

Timeless Isle was the best. Especially if you were a hunter, Shaman or Druid with knockbacks.

That’s the thing. I grabbed them and chilled for 2 hours on my DK. It… kinda worked? But like I said I’m still missing two at least in terms of account-wide. Not that I’m super worried, Shadowlands throws gold out like mad and I only really have like two or maybe three characters that would need them for stuff.

Timeless Isle felt small and not exactly a plot-moving-forward-or-big-exploratory zone which is why I’m not holding it to the same regards as Korthia, Nazjatar, or the Firelands.

Definitely cool. Mists good. Me wish I played like… 28% more Mists at the time. My super alt-itis only kicked in during Warlords.

I have weird feelings about Timeless Isle.

When it was current? “Timewaste Isle”. Now-a-days? When resubbed I always go once a week to spank the Celestials and whatever World Boss is up.

The Black Dragon continues to draw a crowd every time I’m there.
